Magic 8 Ball, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (1 Each)

I purchased this for my son for Easter this year because he had just finished reading the entire Lemony Snicket's book series. He got a chuckle out of it that day and hasn't touched it since. He complained that he couldn't read the answers very well and sure enough I could barely read them myself. This is not worth the money in my opinion and makes for an expensive paper weight.

Very hard to read; plastic bit inside with answers either has chips, air bubbles, or some other flaw in the plastic giving it white flecks across the message. It's too bad, because the answers are funny, but almost impossible to make out.

The small floating answer object in the ball does not float into view very well. The answers are great but it is hard to read.

Gift for a child, they loved it!! Brings back so many memories, get one for fun!! They have other styles too.

I recieved this for Christmas last year, and it has remained a constant companion to my computer monitor. It's quite silly, with all of the answers are grim, and much like the books, the grim is often quite funny. I would recommend it for children over the age of 10, younger kids aren't as likely to be amused. It would make a great gift for adult fans of the series, and if your kids really love ASoUE, they will likely love this too.

This would have been absolutely great, but as the answers are not readable, it is a complete bust. I completely agree with another reviewer--how in the word did Mattel not notice this defect?

Cute packaging, cute idea. But the quotes are impossible to read. Even with reading glasses and a MAGNIFYING glass I was still unable to make out any of the words. Don't waste your money!
