About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. compact | practical | cool How did you come up with the idea for this product? Our idea developed out of many years of our own experimentation. Our target was a well-ordered trouser pocket! We tried out a whole range of different keyrings, cases and cords, but no product would satisfy our demands. We were also disturbed by keys that caught or trouser pockets damaged by sharp keys. In 2014 we came together as a team and developed our first prototypes, inspired by the Swiss pocket knife principle. What makes your product special? The KEYKEEPA comes in many different variations with individually created designer surfaces. Our wooden models in particular are unique of their kind in the market. Its cool appearance is supported by clever technology and various practical gadgets that fit compactly in any trouser pocket. As quality processing and flexible production is very important to us, we source all our individual parts exclusively from North Rhine-Westphalia. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The most exciting thing about our start-up time has been the many new challenges. We learn more every day and we need to manage with situations that cannot be predicted. It’s a great motivation for us when the hard work pays off in the form of positive feedback from our customers. It does us good to know that we are working on a product that makes life easier for many people every day.
