Fantastic Children’s Book
The book arrived slightly bent, but seems to have straightened itself out in time. This is such a great book. Fantastic artwork and just the right amount of words for my 2 year old.

Buy the Board Book Version over the Hard Cover
Beautiful book! I purchased the board book version and was then gifted the hardcover version for our moon obsessed toddler. The colors in the board book version are significantly more vibrant and rich, as well as being a smaller size which encourages independent reading, so if you are wondering which version to get- go with the board book!I feel like the cut outs have a more powerful effect in the board book, as the pages are thicker also. I don't feel like the cut outs hold up well in the hardback edition. We also own 'tree' from the same author, again as a board book and it's a firm favorite. I really wanted to get 'ocean' as well, but it is only available in hard back and the paper the hard back pages are printed on are VERY matte, they seem to absorb all the color and just looks a bit lackluster, especially on darker scenes- to the point of being difficult to read in lower light- so I will wait until they do a board book edition of that before purchasing.

Great book, my kid loves it
Before my son was born my wife and I painted the wall closest to his crib to depict the solar system amongst a star field. The stars and planets themselves glow at night. Around the 9 month mark he recognized them and would point to the plants and stars. Since then I’ve been buying him books that talk about the stars, planets or moon. I recently stumbled upon this book; Moon. My son is now 21 months old and after reading him this book two, maybe three times he now actively looks for it before bedtime because he wants to make sure I read him this one. What I like about it is that the moon really stands out amongst the dark colored pages. The artist did a great job depicting moonlight for kids. What’s even better when I combine this book with a dim light from the rear it really puts my son into night night mode. The pages are a matte coloring so it doesn’t reflect a lot of light as well. The only small negatives would be that the pages are made of thick paper rather than something more durable. I’m always on the lookout for a stray hand jetting out to grab the moon silhouette and accidentally ripping a page. I’d like to see slightly thicker pages and a slightly smaller frame but that’s me being picky. Truth is that the book is excellent from the writing to the art and your child will probably love it.

My son's favorite bedtime book!
Buy this book! This was one of the first books my son really showed interest in (at 10 months). The illustrations are beautiful and he loves to put his little fingers through the cutouts. He is one and a half now and we have and love the entire collection. They are the first books we reach for!

Dark colors but overall ok and nice quality
Purchased for a friend’s baby shower. Very cute story, nice quality book. Took off 1 star because the colors aren’t very vivid for kids. I know it’s supposed to be night and all, but the colors were boardline drab. I had to use a Sharpie to sign it because it was so dark (she wanted books instead of cards with the gifts).

Moon delight
My grandson (19 mths) LOVES pointing to the moon at night. Ever since he was born, I have always pointed it out to him. Now whenever he sees it, he says moon and points to it. I just gave him this book and he loves reading it and seeing how the moon has to go through stages to get to a full moon. The book also has many animals he can relate to. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Adorable
I read this book to my 16 month old granddaughter. She likes it, but it's still a bit of an abstract concept for her. I think it's a great introduction to the world around her and will help her as her awareness and vocabulary improves.
