I thought that adjustable plastic bit that sort of hooked me onto the product was actually too long because I have pretty small ears, but they were actually just right(at the default/all the way pushed in position)! They fit snug, I can still lay down on my side and it doesn't poke me in strange places or feel uncomfortable. I do recommend sliding the airpod fully into the holder(at least for me) for the best fit, as it makes it feel like there's nothing "against" the airpod. There was talk about a smell, which there is. HOWEVER! It's really not that strong. It does smell like plastic, but that's only when I put my nose right on the pair itself that I can smell it. It may just be my pair that I got, or maybe the smell wore off in transit, what have you, but in my experience, it's negligible. And honestly, even if it was strong as they say it was, it wouldn't be something I would throw these away over if its function works as intended. The best thing about these honestly are the holes at the bottom so that they could be attached to a clasp or a carabiner. My airpods case came with a carabiner on the side so it attaches perfectly!
