Super happy with my otoscope
I've been experiencing tinnitus for a few weeks and wanted to confirm for myself that it was due to the build up of ear wax. The otoscope box came wrapped in cellophane, so I could be sure it was unused, and it was easy to assemble and use. The speculums are 'single use' but as they are made out of sturdy plastic, I think it would be fine to disinfect and reuse them on the same person. It arrived already charged, which was very handy, and the image quality seemed good. The safety and user guide was comprehensive. The speculums are very slender so might risk damage to the ear on larger folk, but fitted me fine as I was very careful.

So so
Fairly basic and was not as clear as I had expected, there must be better ones on the market and I'll keep looking.

New tips for the scope
More of a question ❓ where do I buy more scope tips compatible with this product? The recommended ones don't fit, to big, any help I'll be grateful for otherwise I will need to return the item

Stopped working after 7 months
Pros:I can look and analyse my ear for earwaxEasy to record and take pictures of the inner ear, getting everything to focus is quite fiddly which means it tended to be fuzzy at times but with a bit of patience and slow adjustments you can get a decent video and picture.Cons:Stopped working after 7 months and for the price I paid £45- £46, I’m quite disappointed. It’s like the main screen froze and you couldn’t even turn it off or restart it.Overall not the best value for money in the long term

Fascinating tool
Does what it says, easy to use and clean. It takes practice to position the angle of the camera to get the best view. Take care if using the scooper tool. Camera could be a little better quality but keeps focus.

Good quality image with a focal length of just a few mm
It's always a bit tricky to put anything inside the ear (canal) and this is no different, but of the ones I've tried this is the best (so far). For a start, the camera probe is small and easily fits inside an ear, even a child's I would think. The photos show the inside of my ears as far as it would go in and I guess we're looking at the eardrum?Even though the camera probe comes with a few conical guides, your ear can still be left a bit sore afterwards as you get a bit caught up in looking at the screen without realising your ear is now beginning to hurt a bit! As the included instructions say, when this happens, Stop Use!Talking of the screen, it is sharp and detailed. I forgot to set the date/time so it might appear I took the time stamped photos before I even received the product! The stand that comes with it is magnetic, so don't spend five minutes trying to get the self-adhesive paper off the plastic "leg" - there isn't one, it just magnetically snaps to the back of the screen to keep it at a nice viewing angle. Entirely optional. This also takes amazing photos of the inside of your nose (no photos, sorry, they were yuk) which could be good to identify blood vessels close to the surface that can give frequent nosebleeds (don't ask). Also, inside the mouth for dentistry purposes or mouth ulcers - all things that doctors and other medical personnel need to see (your photos) for a quick diagnosis.Battery life is excellent. I charged it up upon receipt and it is still showing full after being in the back of the cupboard for a month. Connecting up a USB cable from the charging port to your PC lets you download the photos or videos directly, very easy to do.All-in-all this is going to be a very useful product; it's not something you use at home everyday, but when you need it, it works very well and easily.

OK
Ordered this as my ears are needing a bit of a cleaning. It comes with the camera probe and a small (2.8inch) screen module which the probe plugs into. Operation is pretty straight forward - charge it up, plug the probe in, attach the ear wax spoon to the probe, turn it on and get stuck in.It all sounds ideal so far, except there are issues. The picture quality is not very clear, I think its the light on the camera which is either a bit too dim or a bit too bright and the image is somewhat fuzzy. This is not really what you want when poking things in your ears. In addition there are guidance speculum things to assist in steering the probe into the depth of your lugs - probably a good idea in principle but the diameter of the probe is a bit too big to allow the guides to slip over it and allow the spoon to be attached so they cannot be used (but there are 3 supplied so thats extra handy!).All in all this is a disappointing product which although appears to be well made, the tolerances and performace to me render it unusable.
