Great case, but a little bulky for my taste
For context... I am generally pretty careful with my phones, and can count on one hand the number of times I've dropped one severely enough to cause even minor damage to a case-free phone. However, given the construction of the S9+, I was less confident that it could survive minor drops than previous phones I've owned, so I decided to bite the bullet and look for a case that was low-profile and kept the sleek look of the phone (I can't stand the massive Otterbox style cases that will turn any phone into a massive toy-like brick of plastic!)The Spigen Neo Hybrid seemed like a reasonable compromise between protection and form factor, and for the price I was very surprised that it actually looked more attractive in real life than in the product photos. I only ended up using the case for a few weeks and did not have the chance to test durability, but the construction and design made me feel pretty confident that it would provide decent protection against typical day-to-day wear. The corners and ends put enough distance between your phone and whatever it drops on that falls from pocket height should be no problem. Where the case wraps around the ends of the phone, rubbery material stands a little proud of the screen surface so that drops onto a flat surface or setting your phone face down, the screen will never make contact. The button covers are brilliantly designed--I noticed a little extra resistance that faded as I used the case, but there was plenty of tactile feedback and they didn't feel mushy at all. Similarly the cutout around the fingerprint sensor was well designed to guide your fingertip right into place, though the heartrate sensor was a little awkward to use.All these pluses aside, at the end of the day the case just added a little bit too much bulk for me to be comfortable using it day to day. I ended up going with a skin-type case from Redbubble, which I think better suits my preferences, but at the end of the day there's no doubt in my mind that this Spigen case will provide superior protection, and I plan to keep it around for hiking, camping or other activities where a phone is more likely to see some abuse. If you are looking for a protective case without adding a ton of bulk, and still looking moderately high end, I'd totally recommend this case; it just wasn't quite what I was looking for.

The only case I trust
This case has saved my phone so many times. I've tried a few other cases periodically, but none of them seem as sturdy as this one so I always come back to it. In fact, I've been using these cases exclusively for my last several devices because I've been so impressed with how well they withstand me being me.Every year or so I buy a new one because of all the minor scratches and dings it gets protecting my phone from me being a klutz. My phone has survived plenty of short drops onto all kinds of surfaces but just recently, I had The Big One.I went to put my phone in my pocket and got tangled up in the hem of my shirt. While trying to free my hand I somehow managed to basically loft my phone 5 feet in the air and 5 feet away from me, right onto a hard tile floor. Watching it fall was like slow motion terror, and I was basically thinking, "Well, that's it." A few people saw it happen and they all did that collective sympathetic gasp when you see something really unfortunate going down. But this case SAVED MY PHONE. Not a scratch. The only damage was the plastic on the corner of the case that snapped during the impact. All their claims about the corners absorbing shock and the little lip on the front keeping your screen safe are true. My phone bounced hard onto a corner and landed face down on the ground and only the hard shell of the case was damaged. I am so impressed and immensely grateful.Needless to say, I immediately came to buy a replacement case. A good looking, comfortable case that doesn't add a lot of bulk but protects my phone like a tank? Spigen can take my money anytime.

Solid Case with Some Needed Design Improvements
I've had a series of Spigen cases on my S7 Edge and they lasted through a good amount of abuse while keeping it safe through all the drops. That said, when it came time to order my S9+, it was a no-brainer as far as what brand I'd be going with and I'm happy to report that Spigen is continuing with its high-quality cases. In comparison to the last few cases I've had:-The material quality feels much higher. I grabbed the gloss black case, and the rubber on the back feels much better than the S7 cases I had while the plastic feels much nicer than the painted bits from before.-Fit and finish are tight and precise. I bought the case before my preorder came in, so I was nervous about third-party cases matching the dimensions of the phone. My S9+ is nice and snug in this one.-The design feels a lot more thought out. My old cases had the plastic bezel completely wrap around the edge of the case, and far too often the thin plastic pieces around the USB port would break. This meant the plastic no longer held to the case and essentially required that I bought a new case. I was on my third case before I upgraded. Thankfully, this one has the plastic wrapped around the sides, top, and back of the phone, which pretty much eliminates the issues I was having.-The holes in the case seem big enough to accommodate all accessory sizes. I had a couple of headphones not fit the holes in the S7 Edge case, so that's a nice bonus.Initial impressions are positive and I'm confident this case will protect my phone. I will update this review at a later data with long-term impressions and experiences.

i wont protect it again your kid biting phone. my son crack the screen with his teeth. lol
i had it for over 2 years now. the plastic part is long gone but it is no necessary for other than esthetic. i drop my phone so many times and each of the i said "this is it, im gonna need a new phone" only find out the phone was untouched. NFT and wireless charging works perfectly fine. and it looks good or even better without the plastic part.

A great case - would recommend!
This is a great case. I previously had the neo hybrid case for my s7 edge, and decided to go with it again for my new s9 plus purchase. The case is slightly different to the one I had previously for my s7 edge, with a less aggressive texture on the back and a different, more grippy material for the frame. The case itself looks very clean, with good colour options available. I went with the gunmetal and black version. The branding isn't too aggressive, with a relatively small spigen logo on the bottom right of the back (when the back is facing you) and a small neo hybrid logo on the bottom of the left edge of the phone (when the phone screen is facing you). The phone fits perfectly into the case, snapping in easily and firmly. There doesn't seem to be any chance of the phone accidentally popping out of the case at all. The case is made from two different materials, a soft rubber that covers the entire back and sides of the phone, along with a plastic frame running around the edge of the phone and with a small strip along the bottom of the back of the case. This is said to offer increased protection, and I could believe it, with the rubber offering some impact absorption and the harder plastic distributing the impact over a larger area. The hard plastic is easy to grip and feels nice in the hand, if a little large. However this will be the case with any case offering the same level of protection. The phone remains easy enough to use with two hands, but use with only one hand may be a struggle. The buttons are easy to find and press through the case, although a little bit stiff at first. There is a small groove between the up and down volume buttons, making them easy to distinguish. There are cutouts for the bottom speaker, headphone jack and usb c port, which are perfectly located and will work for all but the very largest of usb c cables. There are also cutouts for the microphones, and using the case doesn't seem to affect call quality in the slightest. The case works perfectly with my fast wireless charger, with no apparent loss in speed and no added difficulty in getting the phone to charge.I haven't drop tested the case or anything like that, but if I were to guess if say the case would have no issue with most drops from hip or head height onto a flat surface. My previous spigen neo hybrid case (for my s7 edge) survived several drops onto hard surfaces with no trouble. There is a lip at the top and bottom of the case to provide protection for the screen. This lip seems to be very slightly smaller than on other cases, and so this case may struggle a little more with screen first drops onto more uneven surfaces. I would say that the durability of the case is higher than my old case. Overall I am very happy with this case and would recommend it for all except those who are looking for an extremely tough and rugged case. (Possibly look at the spigen tough armor case for that, although i havent tried that case yet.)In summary:Pros.Fits perfectly.Provides a good level of protection.Looks good.Is grippy - much easier to hold that a naked phone.Works perfectly with wireless fast chargingCons.Buttons are a little stiff at first. The lip to protect the screen is smaller than some other cases.Makes the phone a little harder to use one handed (as expected of any case of the same size)As always, remember to remove the phone to clean both it and the case from time to time, as dust and grit can make their way into the case and scratch your phone!

Amazing fit and finish
I have been using an S9 Plus phone for 3 years now. Along with the phone, I bought a Ringke case and it had fared very well to date. Recently the power button piece of the case broke (I was unable to reach the power button) and I was looking for a good replacement case. The same Ringke case was not available anymore (in the smartphone industry, 3 years seems to be considered out of date). This Spigen case caught my attention and I purchased it a few days ago.The fit and finish of the case are amazing. The main part of the case (TPU) is soft to touch and its texture is distinct/minimalistic. All the port cutouts align perfectly. The outer shell is plastic (polycarbonate) with a metallic finish. Both materials complement each other so well in terms of texture and color. I just wish that the price was slightly lower (it is nearly the same as 3 years ago). There was a deal for the same case fitting my wife's S8 phone (regular, not plus). Looking at my case, I ordered one for her too (picture attached).Noteworthy:- There is a review in which the buyer mistook the 'gunmetal' color to be the 'material' of the outer shell. Please be aware that it is plastic (polycarbonate). No part of this case is made of any metal.- The texture at the back will collect dirt and can be cleaned easily.- The outer shell, being plastic, is prone to micro scratches in its regular use. And, if dropped, it will obviously scathe the paint and expose the plastic beneath. If your use is harsh and cannot tolerate such scratches, then you should look at a non-hybrid case (single TPU piece).
