Past Cure - Xbox One

Past Cure is the latest game that seems to be getting a lot of over the top negativity by the "Trusted" internet gamersWhile the game isn't perfect it's a solid ambitious Budget titleConcept: The biggest problem with this game it has no true identityIt doesn't know what it wants to beIt's as though the developers took elements from Alan Wake, Max Payne, Silent Hill, and Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracymashed all them up and came up with Past CureWhile at first it seems very jarring and manic it adds a oddball charm to to the gameControls are hinky you'd think the game itself was built around a keyboard and mouseNot game braking bad but, average and take a little getting use to! (You should adjust the controls to your liking it will help a lot)Audio: Is top notch from the V/O cast to the soundtrack, to the sound effects(Another impressive game that uses the DTS 5.1 audio option to it's fullest)Graphics are average sometimes the game looks really good other times you can tell it's a Budget titleFor a game by a indie development team it's very impressive and should be given more lee way from the negative criticismStory is a Huge selling point (The story is extremely smart and engaging) It's deeper then you would think at firstThis game is further proof how hypocritical gamers are (Mostly online)They love to troll the internet c/o about wanting games that are different and unique then when anything different and unique comes alongThey knock-it and try and bury it (Examples: Sunset Overdrive, ReCore, Agents of Mayhem and now Past Cure)Being a gamer is to have OCD to some extent......Past Cure doesn't fit the cookie-cutter mold so it gets no real respect or positive praise only the over the top phony outrage that comes from the internetIf you can snag a copy of this while it's on sale $25 or less it's a worth wild blind buyIf you like any of the games it mimics you'll enjoy this for what it tries to be while it doesn't reinvent the wheel it's a very interestingmash-up of various Ideas that shouldn't work but, it does 7/10MS Gamertag Duckman 1979

So this game is clearly a budget title which doesn’t make it bad. The game is mediocre at its best times and down right boring others. Had they stuck with 1 or even 2 mechanics it could’ve been much better. The issue I had was it was a horror type game one level, stealth the next, generic 3rd person shooter, weak puzzle elements sections. It just stumbles at each. Bought it on sale for $7. That’s about the right price. It’s a short game but that is a good thing.

A solid game. At first I thought the beginning lacked story depth, but as the game went on it all came together well.
