This set up is a legend that proves you don’t have to spend a fortune for high quality recording. Itched towards the You-Tube/ streamer/ podcasting market it really performs at this price once you pair it up with something like cheap Behringer U-PHORIA for Phantom Power (you’ll also need the cable as mine only shipped with a 3.5 jack cable). Discard the USB sound card thing it is rubbish and go for Phantom Power and the sound quality is fine for anything but pro work. You get everything you need in this pack; the scissor stand is the weakest part (ignoring that USB sound card) but usable to begin with- if you become a publishing sensation you can upgrade that later and still carry on using the rest of the kit.I paired it with a Behringer U-phoria UMC22, which is a Phantom power external USB sound adaptor of the simplest but still effective kind. And a phantom power cable. And I was impressed at the price that was under the price of a Blue Yeti and at least as effective- in my opinion better but that is subjective as both have pros and cons.You can still use the set-up without my suggested extras, but the sound quality suffers notably due to the USB soundcard that is included although it would be fine for video conferencing or gaming.At the price I don’t think you can go wrong.

I may be biased, as so far I am only really used to headset mics and blue snowballs, but this mic is amazing for how much it costs. When plugged into my behringer UMC-22, and with a tiny bit of EQ adjustment, this thing will sound like a mic 3x its price.One thing to note. I have had 3 of these. first one was immaculate and still works to this day. 2nd one arrived with a very slight buzzing noise that got a bit worse over time, but I got a warranty replacement (fantastic customer service) to my door within 2 days. the replacement has no trace of buzzing and sounds fantastic.The only downside I would say this kit has is the sturdiness of the boom arm. the clamp that attaches it to the desk can bend if you tighten it too much, though this isnt too much of a problem as long as you dont overtighten.Overall, I would thoroughly reccommend this microphone to anyone wanting to get into streaming (especially with some kind of audio interface, like the UMC-22)

I am on a mac. I tried using the included sound card - it's found as a device... but it just provides a constant buzzing tone and does not work. I've ordered an XLR mixing device from another seller that should arrive tomorrow when I will hopefully be able to use the mic and find that it is ok.So, if you plan to use the included sound card device.... simply don't. It is a waste of time and money them including it in the box and they would do better to offer a bundle deal that lets you buy a version with the proper device instead.

The sound quality itself was good, along with the sturdiness and everything it gives you. However, there is one flaw I noticed which 100% wasn't my fault. It's output was really quiet. This wasn't an issue for me as I, and most other people, can just turn the output up in some way. However fir the people less experienced with computers whoever it may be unable to turn it up, which makes me give it a 4 star review. All in all, it was a good product but would have hoped for a bit higher quality.

Stay away from this mic set, the USB sound card is of such poor quality that windows barely detects any audio input from it, combined with the fact that it has no supporting audio software to manage the already non existant audio levels. Also the kit does not allow you to use the microphone correctly due to the fact that the XLR cable needed for a mic to function correctly is not included and also that this microphone requires a 48v power supply since its a condenser mic and not a headset mic. This was tested on my PC which has a top end ASUS sound card and also on a laptop with a REALTEK audio onboard soundcard, both results were dire.Spend money and buy proper hardware, not this cheap chinese rubbish.

I was surprised but the sound quality of this microphone for the price. The build quality is not bad at all. I use the phantom power on my mixer and its fine. It is very sensitive though and picks up almost everything and has a high end, but a bit of tweaking with EQ on my mixer helps a lot. I use it for my home studio, acoustic guitar and vocals etc, but it helps that I live somewhere fairly quiet . Stick it out a window and you will probably hear the grass growing. Didn't get anything with the supplied lead as many others have stated. Think it needs the 48V phantom power to come into its own, but some reviewers have said it worked fine without it. So overall , for the price, not bad at all. And I must admit it does look really nice and professional . If your into making videos and blogs I would I think it would improve your sound presentation and quality a lot. Just remember it will pick up that TV in another room or other background sounds , but get closer, and turn down the gain on your mixer or input volume on your PC or whatever your using it for and its not a bad microphone at all, considering what you get for the money.

Mic is only okay but the arm is weak and became useless in a matter of minutes out of the box. It's broken and everything just flops out of it. Sound card is good but cheap, sound quality is poor but for the money its passable. I have it a week and I've already upgraded to a better one. It's not worth my time sending it back and it would just be too complicated with all the small bits. I'd recommend you avoid this unless it's as much as your budget will allow then it will do the job. Just about. But don't buy it for the arm, that is the worst part.
