A: It obviously depends on the material the mattress/couch is made of but the bristles are stiff plastic that should clean but not damage.

**Q: Could these be used for cleaning textured painted walls (are they soft enough / have enough flexibility in the bristles to get into cracks?)**
A: Stiff bristles

**Q: Can these be used on pvc frames with out scratching?**
A: Not tried but good on floors removing muddy footprints

**Q: Can it be used in indoor wooden floor without damaging it?**
A: Could scratch softwood, unprotected if scrubbing hard. , only used on porcelain tiles.
