I ordered these as I was not comfortable with "spring traps" that killed the rodents. They are, after all, part of our ecosystem.However, having had them in use for months I have realised and seen some shortcomings.1) Most humain trap makers recommend checking the trap each hour! A mouse trapped can die of de-hydration quickly.2) The "shock" of being trapped can result in death from shock/heart failure.3) Mice, being rodents, and not suffering from above will eat through the plastic elements of the trap. The "food" area has the back door which has a metal grill. But the side of this removable door has no metal plate. So mice will eventually chew their way through the trap! Adding a metal layer to the side of the food area door can solve this issue.4) The Water or de-hydration issue. Maybe some system to provide water to captured mice could be added? This may save some mice where the checks of traps is longer than a few hours?5 Some of the metal parts of my traps (a couple out of 6) are showing signs of corrosion. This is not to be expected.Otherwise a successful product that has captured many mice. What I'd like to know is where these repeat visitors are getting into my house!

These mouse traps would appear to be great. I don't like killing any animal but I also do not want them in my house. I placed one of these where I was sure a mouse would find it with peanut butter as the treat. On two consecutive nights the bait disappeared without any capture. I then used a toffee with the same results. So I then stuck a toffee to the sensor plate and this time I caught 2 small mice which I was able to release in the countryside.I would say that a single small mouse is not heavy enough to trigger the sensor plate, which in turn drops the trap door. If you are troubled by larger rodents I am sure this would be a good buy, but despite catching two at once, I would say that it is incapable of trapping small rodents.

I was a bit skeptic before buying this one , as there were just too many good reviews about this product , and same product was being sold at a slightly higher price by another Vendor. So was't sure if this would be good quality or not.But caught 2 mouse in the first night , one at my house , and another at my friend's place. Using peanut butter. Little one was not harmed at all.

Very easy to use and very effective product. Caught mice on first use and got rid of my mouse problem very quickly. The only part that proved they were not perfect is cleaning, could be better if the whole of the back section could be removed rather than leaving a 'tray' making access to clean difficult but not impossible. Overall very good.

On several occasions the mice get the bait but the trap fails to work!

the mechanism is good and I am sure they work, I think my problem may have gone away, thankfully, have not had to actually catch anything, but I am sure they would work perfectly. Much better that killing.

Very slightly fiddly to clean and re-assemble, but totally effective at catching the mice unharmed.

Did what they were supposed to.
