Karribi Paint by Numbers Kit for Adults and Children - Modern Birds Series (Bird II)

I've painted two from this collection, and have ordered a third. These paint-by-numbers are easy and can be finished in several hours. I would recommend for anyone over 12 years of age. I'm an adult, and like them because they are easy and turn out beautiful.

Absolutely adorable!! The canvas is sturdy, numbers are clearly visible & tubes contain more than enough color to repaint the whole thing twice. The colors are rich & dark. I did the whole 3 by 3 grid (9 paintings) & put it up on my kitchen wall. The life it adds to that wall is splendid.. brushes are fine. The small brush sometimes had a hair or two pointed out which I just trimmed off. I would totally recommend people to buy this. It’s a pretty relaxing activity.

I bought 5 different birds in this series and I love them! They're easy to complete, the quantity of paint is always more than sufficient and they look great. My only complaint is the brushes are kind of junky and I ended up using better ones I had. If you're looking for a beginning paint by number that's not too childish and not too crazy this is a good choice!

My mom is 78 and very crafty and artistic. She does metalwork, glasswork, acrylic painting, gardening, etc. She retired around 70 and now spends her days pursuing her passions. I always get her a bunch of gifts relating to her current artistic passion for Christmas, plus a few other things. Three years ago I saw one of these and thought she might enjoy it. I liked that it was large/easy to see all the numbers, plus it was a really cute picture that I could see her actually hanging in her house. Then I realized you could do one or buy multiple to make one large pic, and I loved that. I now buy her one or two every year as part of her Christmas gifts and she loves them. She looks forward to getting a new one every year. They’re easy to do, she always finishes them in less than one day, and they look really great when done. I think I’ve gotten her 4 so far and I will continue to get them until she has the whole set.

I recommend this kit as an excellent "first" project for those just beginning to explore the paint-by-numbers hobby path. The areas are clearly marked and there is a variety of color section sizes with none too small to see comfortably and to fill in with ease. I used the lager of the two brushes included to complete most of the sections and only used the smaller brush for the final smallest and detailed dark sections. I was pleased that the paint is supplied in small tubes so only the amount needed can be squeezed into the small plastic cups. I felt like I always had fresh paint when needed. I especially liked that the canvas was already stretched on a wooden frame as I found it easy to paint on the taunt surface. Once completed it's ready to hang "as is" or a mat and outer frame could be added. I finished the project over a few weekends and look forward to purchasing more of the kits from this same series and Supplier.

The numbers were very hard to see. I almost returned it but this is my 7th art piece so I figured it out.

My mom and I did it on mother's day & it was a fun way to spend the day! It was our first ever time painting & wasn't too hard except her vision isn't good & she had some trouble seeing the lines. It's nice that they pre-mount it for you. Ready to hang as soon as done. We had plenty of paint for all colors but only 2 brushes were included.

I bought this and will fiNish painting it but please take my advice. If you are expecting the charming colors of you kit to be anywhere similar to the picture advertising this work, you will He sadly disappointed, as I am. In stead of a golden background, it's a multicolor gold/brownish lime. Instead of the tree bark being dark brown, it's a navy blue. I am over half way through and hoping with the last stroke of my brush, it will turn in to an eye catching piece of canvas that I am proud of.
