Fenix E05 Flashlight, Blue

Stop shopping for a flashlight and buy this one. Seriously, this thing is amazing for the money. Take a look at my other reviews, I don't hand out 5 star reviews for everything I like. This flashlight I love. I bought one for me and then decided my dad and wife both needed one too so I bought two more. It's about the size of a AA battery, runs on a AAA battery, is bright enough to light any task at arms length, light your way in a dark room or even to use as a small room light in a power outage. I've stood this one end on a bathroom vanity to do just that. Throw in the fact that it's water PROOF down to 2 meters and really what more do you need from this size light? Perfect for a pocket EDC light or keychain light. If you're looking for something to throw light a great distance, this isn't it but I don't think that's at all what it was intended for.

I was having trouble deciding between this Fenix, running on 1 AAA, and the Fenix E0\\LD15 that runs on 1 AA battery, so I bought one of each. For power, the LD15e is preferable, with 4x the output on full, plus a very economical low power setting. However, there's also a place for this smaller E05, because it really is smaller, enough smaller that I hardly notice it in my pocket, and therefore have it with me rather than in a drawer at home.Why not a 5th star? Simple. If I could only have one flashlight, it wouldn't be either of these, but rather my Petzl "Black Diamond" headlamp, which is a bit bigger than either, and uses 3 4 AAA batteries, but gives me an extra hand free.

This is my second one, bought as a spare/backup before this version becomes unavailable. It's nearly ideal as a keyring, pocket light.Not terribly powerful, but much better than the E01 (at the cost of extended run time). Due to the diffuser, it has a floody beam pattern, perfectly suited to its intended purpose, that is, lighting up the immediate area. One of my favorites, the Photon Micro Light LED keychain light puts out 4.5 lumens (still a very useful output), this light puts out six times that.

It is just what I was looking for, a very small flashlight with a reasonable lumen output for the size. The construction is quality throughout with nothing protruding to cause holes in pockets and the twist switch means it won't easily turn on when carried in a pocket. The light beam has a nice spread without hot spots. For the price and size it fits its niche market perfectly. It certainly provides enough light to get out of a situation where the power fails.

With this light you can see into next week! No not really! My experience is this flashlight is light enough to be an every day carry and it throws enough light so you can see very well while changing a tire on a lonely road at night. I wish it could just change the tire by itself though, but it's not that bright.

Went for this over the new 2014 edition since it's the model that gave the E05 its great reputation. Now I understand why the reviews and testimonials around the web for this little flashlight are so glowing. It's great! It's on my keychain and there to stay.

I have two of these on two separate keychains and use them everyday at work very dependable and give a good strong light. Recommend these.

同時に2個注文したのですが、2個目を他者にあげた時に気が付きました、色が違う自分が使っている方はブルーで白色系の明かり、日本語説明書も同梱包してありましたが、もうひとつはネイビーで、黄色が少し入った明かり、日本語説明書なし。もしかして、にせものでしょうか？それとも型番違い？相手の人がこれでいいと言うので、返品しないでそのまま渡しましたが、釈然としません。商品的には★5でもいいぐらいです。ボタン電池でないので充電電池を入れて使用ちょくちょく使うので、経済的です。お尻にあるストラップ用リング取付穴も２カ所あり何らかの破損で使えなくなっても、もう１カ所使える用になってます。明るさは暗闇でも十分周りを確認できる明るさです。
