It works as described. It fits tightly on the jaws of my vice even when pressure is being exerted on the piece(s) it is holding. I have now used it in a number of application from soft wood dowels to steel rods. Very pleased with how well it works.

The only purpose that I needed for these jaw-pad accessories was to hold tubes securely in order to cut them to length, and they did the job nicely, no slippage. I cut the pads to about a 4-inch length to accommodate my smaller 3 1/2 vice jaws. So it would be convenient if the manufacturer offered a size selection.

I have a 5 inch vise, so I cut 1/2 inch off each end, that kept all 3 magnets centered on vise jaw. Works great, very versatile, has grooves for round stock. Doesn't mar surfaces. Excellent value for the money, very happy with purchase. Recommend highly.
