Wonderful
What can I say to this author that I have not said for every book she writes.Every time I get to the end I always want her to have written more so it will not end .That has nothing to do with the story not having a great ending I just love the characters so much I want some more. This book made me laugh myself silly. If I read in bed my wife will say are you reading a Robin Alexander book I say how did you know she replied it is the only time I laugh so much when I am reading. I think this author really knows people her characters are warm funny and draw you into their world. I will do with this one as I do with all the others re read until you write another. Please be quick. If you love great stories great characters and like to laugh and cry and books this is the one for you

Wonderful
I had never read anything by Robin Alexander before I found this book, but she has now become one of my favourite authors. This story is, in parts, utterly hilarious to the extent that it had me laughing out loud several times. It is also very moving and also completely believable, despite the occasional slapstick moments. It is a story about two single women who are brought along on a road trip in a Winnebago, without either of them knowing they have been set up by the two older women who invited them. The two older women, Ella and Anne, are hilarious, their verbal sparring is hysterical, and the chemistry between the two leading ladies, Jill and Shay, is clear from very early on.The scenes with the hammock and the Bigfoot hunt are worth the price of this book alone. An absolute gem of a book, and one that would make a brilliant film.

Entertaining
Definitely what I would call a fun read. Robin has a way of getting these fairly short, unfussy stories just right for my tastes. The characters (though often a little like caricatures) stand out; strange or different enough to want to keep reading their antics, yet real and normal enough to identify with at least on some level. The story was cute, funny, lighthearted, and romantic. Yes there is the problem of the whole "falling in love mad quickly" scenario, but these books are pretty quick reads, meant to entertain, not drag us through endless chapters of poorly written angst/filler.I laughed out loud several times reading this book (by far the funniest one yet as far as I'm concerned). The whole 'Yeti ' incident had me in stitches.I really enjoyed this for a exactly what it was meant to be.

Neighbours now certain I'm crazy...
Dogs are miffed and the parrot has started to cackle, all because I couldn't put this book down. Long time since reading a book caused me to cry with laughter. Parrots are mimicking and neighbours knew I was in on my own, wonder if they think I was drunk? Now, I really have to go and walk the dogs...Only other writers that have had that effect are Terry Pratchett (RIP) and the far more lively lesbians Sandi Toksvig and Camryn Eyde.Great holiday ... or anytime ...read. I challenge you not to laugh out loud!

A road trip in squirrel season...
This is Robin Alexander at her witty best. The two oldies but goodies, Ella and Anne, are an absolute hoot and had me crying with laughter several times. Anne quizzing Shay about why she left Utah abruptly, their commentary on Shay and Jill’s hammock sharing and the mine tour are particular highlights but there are smiles aplenty in this. Jill and Shay’s slow-growing romance is also a joy and Robin Alexander handles the laughs, the romance (and the sex!) with aplomb. Long may she continue!

Hilarious!
HILARIOUS!! Now I might have found one of the love interests a little plain Jane.. but the two old women make this book. I have never laughed so much and made myself look a fool by the pool. It takes a lot to make me laugh and the slow romance was a lovely extra. The first of Robin's books I read.

EXCELLENT
Characters are great, especially Ann and the Grandma. The story line is both funny and romantic, brilliant.
