BOSSBCK-24 Solderless Pedalboard Cable Kit – 24 foot cable + 24 Right-angle/Straight 1/4" Plug Connectors to Make 12 Custom Cables

I’ve tried a lot of these now and the Boss kit really seems the best compromise. Evidence is obviously amazing but prohibitively expensive, the Planet Waves kit is good value but quite bulky, and the Boss is just about right. Thin cable which can be bent around tight spots, right-angle connection if you need it, slim connectors and so far 100% successful connection rate. Excellent.

I am a professional guitar player with 30 years experience, I have seen all types of cables, and when I saw boss had created this, I though it was probably worth it. How wrong was I.I have been using solderless cables for over 15 years and this ones are the worse.The cable doesn't enter properly most of the time, ven when properly cut with very good cable cutter. So getting the cable done just doesn't work 80% of the time, I had to do each connector 2-3 times to make it work. tried all sorts of techniques, push less, push more, nothing works. A royal waste of your money. Especially if you are not professional and expect something easy to set up yourself

Great value for money, compared them to Lava cables and a few boutique brands - the connectors are a bit smaller and the cable is really great.Only problem comes with the assembly - you need to be really precise with the cuts but if you've soldered a few cables before, you should be fine. Multimeter/cable tester recommended!

I got a good result with this product, in about 2 hrs or so I had 12 working patch cables!! The plus points are, good quality cable and jacks, good signal preservation (better than my old factory made cables), you can really tidy up your pedal board with cables the exact minimum length you need! I had plenty of cable left over for future changes.The minus points are, It's not fool proof, putting the cables together needs a bit of care and time, the first one I made didn't work, I trimmed the cable and repeated then OK, out of the 12 I made 8 of them worked 1st time, the others needed reworking but all worked in the end.You need to make sure the ends are perfectly round and flat after cutting, roll the ends of the cable on a flat surface and make sure the copper core wires are not touching the silver grounding braid. Another thing that helps: the grub screw needs to pierce the outer plastic shielding to give a ground connection, using a craft knife put a small slit in the shielding at precisely where the grub screw makes contact, then screw it in until just flush with the casing (no further). when inserting the cable end into the jack you don't need to turn it and grind it in there, you can tell when it hits the spike inside and seats down in easily!!All in all I was really happy with the kit, I would buy again if needed.

Good quality patch cable kit. Used a couple of kits to wire up ten pedal switching system pedalboard. The first cable took two attempts, but the rest worked first time. The key is to ensure a clean cut on the cable (I used a Stanley knife with a new blade) before assembling, then test each one before use, just by attaching direct to an amp & putting your thumb on the end to see if it buzzes as a normal bought cable

I'm a big fan of BOSS products and have spent £1,000's over the years and never had a complaint.But these solderless cables were VERY disappointing.The instructions make it look like you can just cut the cable with scissors, shove the cable into the connector, insert the connecting screw and you're good to go.Not so.There is not a lot of wire to make contact. It needs to be quite precise. Using scissors or even wire cutters deforms the cable enough that contact won't happen.You need to use something very sharp like a Stanley knife to cut the cable.Then you need to roll the cable over 2 flat services to ensure the outer plastic coating is as round as can be.Next you give the cable a big push into the connector. Except the cable seems slightly too wide.I found it impossible to put the cable in by hand and make contact.Eventual solution was to smear the last 1cm of the cable ends with Vaseline and twist as I inserted it.But even this wasn't enough. I also had to hold the connector with pliers and push the wire in using a 2nd set of pliers to get sufficient grip to push enough of the cable in to make contact. I'd probably use a vice to hold the plug if doing this again.It was a huge 'faff' and 25% of the cables i tried to make just didn't work not matter how much I shoved the cable around.Simply not worth the effort and expense. AVOID.I have since had Evidence Audio cables recommended to me.

I used these to re-wire my pedalboard. They were easy to put together and small which is good if you’ve got a tight area to work with. As far as tone, I can tell no difference between these and my old cables (Dimarzio) I am running a buffer on my board so tone loss is minimal if any.

Les câbles ne fonctionnent pas malgré plusieurs essais de coupe bien comme il faut. Grosse arnaque attention.

Hallo! Bei mir haben auf Anhieb alle zwölf selbst angefertigten Kabel einwandfrei funktioniert. Kann die Schwierigkeiten in der Herstellung nicht wirklich nachvollziehen. Bisher keine Probleme und viel mehr Ordnung auf meinem Pedalboard. Von mir gibts einen Daumen hoch!

Anche se il costo non è proprio abbordabile, è sicuramente inferiore a molti altri prodotti di pari livello. Qualità top e facilità di assemblaggio: resa sonora perfetta. Da comprare e ricomprare.
