It does help keep heat in water once water is heated up from the sun.Now to 2nd season use. Mind you this solar cover was stored inside garage after being cleaned and and dried fully after the 1st season use.We got it out and could tell a difference in it from the prior year, just felt less durable is all I can think to explain. After about 1 month of use into 2nd season, we started noticing the bubbles were denigrating! We had a filter screen full of plastic bubble pieces. It just continued to get worse. Then it started ripping in several places!So just know this product is fine the first pool season, if you only use 2-3 months, but after that you might as well just plan on buying another one. ### ⭐⭐⭐ The cover is very thin. *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2022* I have owned 10 or more covers over the years.
