Cushing relives his life in style and with impeccable taste.
I have been a Peter Cushing fan since I saw HORROR OF DRACULA in the late fifties. I have a number of bios on him and this book is a welcome addition and the best of the bunch. Cushing was highly intelligent and that shines through in this book (which is actually a reprinted collection of two he had written years ago). His writing style is lean and he is not given to arrogance or wordiness. I recommend this book.

The Consummate English Gentleman
I think you have to be a fan to really enjoy this, but if you have an interest to old Hollywood and English cinema this is a great read. I just love this man and his work, was so happy they brought both of his out of print books together.

Detailed memoir
Very detailed book about Peter Cushing purchased as a gift. I have not read it myself, but the recipient said it's good.

An extended visit with St. Peter, the First Gentleman of Horror….
Not as lively as his wonderful interviews, many of which can be seen on YouTube, but still this delightful man and old cinematic friend gives you insights into his life & career. God bless him & I hope he is having a lovely eternity with Helen in the light of our Lord.

Fantastic. Though there are a few books about Peter Cushing it is always nice to read a book by the person themselves. Its completely honest and very sad when his beloved wife Helen died. A much loved and missed celebrity.

PETER CUSHING WAS A MAN OF MANY GUISES, IF YOUR A FAN OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS, EXCELLENT BUY!!!!
Our 31yr old son is a horror movie fan n first one he saw was with Mr Cushing!!!! From then on, he watched all the films he made, asleep as horror!!!! He was delighted with the book, and found it a brilliant read, as it was an honest, personal, amusing n at sometimes emotional. It's a book he will read again and again!!!!Mrs Caroline Graham
