I like to sit semi submerged in tepid water whilst carrying on basic computing tasks on my iPad. This handy waterproof cover enables me to do that without worrying about dropping my iPad beneath the foamy waves of my tub. I particularly like playing angry birds, but have recently started arguing with transphobes and racists on twitter as a way to relax, whilst also enjoying the fizzy novelty of a bath bomb. I am not sure this is an effective use of my time, but at least I am safe in the knowledge that my iPad will be preserved for future generations after I am dead.

I bought two of these for two Amazon Fire HD 10 tablets which are being used by stewards at a Scottish professional football club on match days to hold lists of ticket holders for any particular match. As they will be out in all weathers a weatherproof bag that still allowed operation was required. The Fire units measure 262mm, whereas the 11.5in claimed by Yokata is approx 290mm so there should be no problem. In reality they just about fit with the clips closed but it is so tight that the on/off button is pressed against the edge of the pocket and powers the tablet off. They can only therefore be used leaving the clips undone which is not ideal from a weather proofing aspect. On the plus side, the tablets work fine through the clear plastic but it is misleading to say they accommodate up to 11.5 inch tablets. They don’t.

Wanted this to use my tablet on my boat with a Navionics Navigation app. Was worried that my Samsung A7 tablet at 10.4” might have been too big as others had complained about advertised sizes. No problem at all, fits nicely in the case and closed with about 5mm spare space along its length. Not tried it for water tightness yet but hopefully won’t drop it in the sea. Just wanted it for protection against rain and occasional sea water spray.

Does what it says and easy to use

This iPad case was just a little too large. The iPad moved inside the case. Consequently the photos hadn’t a clear view. One had to shake the iPad into position before taking a photograph

The catches are really tricky to open and close but when closed the pouch is watertight.

Arrived promptly. Works fine.

Bought to protect tablet in a marine environment does the job touch functionality still useable.
