Does what it’s meant to do

I find the McKenzie SuperRoll lumbar support the perfect density. Neither too soft nor too firm! The strap fits around the back cushion of my easy chair perfectly at the maximum length and the cushion stays in place. Really improves sitting posture and stops me slouching!

Good - just the job!

I bought this specifically to use in the car and it has made a surprisingly big difference. The support is firm enough to properly support my lower back without feeling uncomfortable, and it fits really well against the seat. After using it regularly, I noticed a significant improvement in the discomfort and pain I was getting in my legs while driving. The extra lumbar support seems to help me maintain a much better sitting position, especially on longer journeys. It’s also a good size for the car and doesn’t take up much room when it’s not being used. I’ve tried softer cushions before, but they never seemed to provide the same level of support. This one is firm and holds its shape, which I think is a big part of why it works so well. For me, this has been one of those simple purchases that has genuinely improved driving comfort. If you spend a lot of time in the car and need better lumbar support, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

i have had a prolapsed disc (L5S1) for over a year which prolapsed again after surgery (not as bad as first time).i previously bought an original d-shape lumbar support which is great indoors but not so good in the car. the optp original mckenzie super roll is the most recent incarnation of the super roll and is roughly 4cm wider which is great as the edges of the d-shape roll sometimes feel like they dig in a bit. overall it feels far superior to my previous roll and is not so deep so does not push me off the chair as much (d-shape roll was twice the depth/thickness). the new fabric is also a great improvement as it slides against clothing when i adjust my sitting position instead of sticking a little like the old one did (not such a big deal really but a definite improvement). the foam feels of a better quality than the old d-shape roll i have and looks like it's injection molded or some equivalent. The only quibble i have is that it comes from the US and i was stung by £11.39 by customs and the post office making for a grand total of £42. oh well it is good!

The product is excellent and as a Chartered Physiotherapist I have recommended McKenzie Exercises (prescribed) alongside the use of the McKenzie Super roll to many individuals for 30 plus years, however I am only awarding 3 stars, as I feel that the super roll has become a bit on the pricey side in recent years. So 3 stars due to price, however 5 stars for product quality. Thank you

This is the second mackenzie roll I have had. It does what you expect it too and really does help with lower back pain (combined with appropiate back exercises). It helps remind you how to sit improveing sitting and standing posture. I think its worth the money and would recommend.

Just the right size, bought a D shaped cushion before, which was too big. Use in the car without strap.

Does what it promises Solid, firm lumbar roll that actually maintains your lower back curve instead of collapsing after a week like cheaper cushions. Takes a few days to get used to if you're new to lumbar support — feels like a lot of pressure at first, then becomes essential. Strap works fine on standard office chairs but is fiddly on chairs with odd backrests. Cover runs a bit warm for long sits. Great if you already know you need targeted lumbar support (desk job, back issues, long drives). If you're just curious whether lumbar support helps at all, might start with something cheaper first. Worth it for consistent daily use — my lower back fatigue by end of day is noticeably better.

*June 17, 2026 Had made the decision in purchasing this OPTP McKenzie SuperRoll Lumbar Pillow, considering this was something my mother was in need of getting, in order to support her lower back whenever it comes to driving. So far, my mother has not been having much issues when it comes to using the product; so, I believe it is safe to say, that the lumbar pillow, is doing it's job at cushioning/supporting her lower back. The way on how to setup the pillow onto the driver's seat of the car, is fairly simple enough to do, all you have to do, is buckle up the buckles included on this against the front of the seat and you will be supported enough. I would suggest to purchase this product if you happen to be someone who happens to have lower back pain and need something to support the symptoms of it.

Easy to install and helped with my lower back pain instantly, it was gone in days. I recommend this product to anyone who needs it!
