Side Clip for Sideclick Remote to Fit NVIDIA Shield TV Remote

Item description does not emphasize that the side click only works for certain side click remotes - Amazon FireTV is not one of them. Avoid product and seller - item is not returnable.

This clip appears to be a 3D printed piece. The structure is different from the rest of the Sideclick components for that reason, but it's a clever solution for the Nvidia Shield.My clip doesn't snap into place quite like the 1st-party clip for the Fire TV does. However, once I slide the Shield remote in, the remote and clip hold each other in place perfectly. I had no need to pad the clip in order to make it fit.Glad that there is a solution available for the Shield. Yes, $11 is steep for a piece of plastic. But it got the job done.

Short: Works as described, would purchase again.I switched from fire TV to the NVIDIA shield and was looking for a way to keep the sideclick. I wouldn't say it's 'perfect', but overall I feel it's closer to 5 starts than it is to 4. My only complaint would be that it only holds the remote only at the two sides leaving the underside of the remote open without support. It does still feel secure without unnecessary 'play' but I can't vouch for long term problems. I may end up putting a piece of foam between the remote and clip for added stability.

If you already had a fire tv sideclick and later purchased the Nvidia Shield, it’s worth spending ten dollars to get this small piece of plastic to be able to attach your new Shield remote. It did not come with instructions, so I struggled for a bit fiddling with the Sideclick trying to figure out how to remove the existing connector on the Sideclick. Thankfully I found some user instructions through a Google search on someone having the same problem (gently bend it towards the direction of the buttons and it will eventually release).

It works, but there is a gap that makes it uncomfortable to hold compared to what you get from sideclick. This clip also does not sit properly within the sideclick remote, which makes me wonder about its durability over time.

Really? What am I supposed to do with THIS!? Complete garbage! What even is this piece of plastic?

The key is to remove the clip from the FB adapter. It fits tightly, I would buy again.

This is exactly what I was looking for for my Shield Remote, it holds the remote firmly in place. Awesome!
