Beautiful watch, but don’t stand behind promos being run
I purchased my husband this watch from the jord website for christmas. This is a beautiful watch, but at the time they were running a special that when you made a purchase you would get 3 $35 gift cards (To me this means it has cash value for the retailer and did not state differently at the time). Since I was buying a $429 watch this seemed fair. It would mean I had about 30% off this watch to use on a future purchase. Recently I tried to use these gift cards to buy a watch as a gift for a family member and found out only one may be used at a time and cannot be used with any other discount. We had participated in the referral program as well and had suggested them to a large retailer that we consistently use for jewelry. For this we received a code for a future purchase for $50 off. I was very confused when the website would not allow me to use them and reached out to Jord twice only to be told they do not stack any discounts and that the “gift cards” aren’t actually gift cards as advertised. This is was very disappointing and does not make me want to purchase from them in the future, nor refer them. The promo at the time was not made clear and they are doing nothing to stand by their specials. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because it is a beautiful watch in person and I had an issue with shipping they were quick to resolve.

Beautiful watch, weak movement.
Aesthetically the watch is gorgeous, very good craftsmanship. The problem with this watch is in the movement. The company is very elusive about the origin of the movement. They say it's made in house, but I suspect it's a low end Chinese movement that they modified slightly. If you only care about looks, this may be the watch for you.

Broken band.
I bought a Meridian directly from Jord after receiving a referral discount to a jeweler. It is the most expensive watch I have ever bought. After wearing it three times, the band broke. Horrible quality, and has soured me on wooden watches. It does have a warrantee so I am contacting Jord about getting it repaired. I’ll try to post a follow up about the process. As of now, all I can say is beware of expensive wooden watches. Put the money on a Citizen or Seiko.
