Bayan AudioSoundbook X3 - Black Portable Bluetooth Speaker With Built In FM Radio And NFC Pairing

Great speaker for the money. Very sturdy good sound .Bought it for my 22 year old son who is very impressed.

The media could not be loaded.  Kindly sent to me for review this mid range speaker impresses with it's design and solid build quality. The soundbook is aptly named being hardback book sized with it's own nylon smart cover which, when opened, not only turns the speaker on but also acts as the speaker stand.The cover also has the NFC tag built in for quick pairing, alternatively you can pair via the bluetooth menu or you can connect non-bluetooth devices via the aux in socket. There is also an aux out socket should you wish to connect headphones or a second speaker, and a USB out allowing you to charge your device while listening to music.The speaker has 4 drivers sat behind the front grill as well as a passive bass radiator. There are some LEDs also hidden behind the grill which tell you what mode this is on, so bluetooth, aux or FM for the radio.The radio is an FM radio rather than DAB and that means lower sound quality compared to streaming music/radio from a mobile. You can set a single station (frequency is listed on the cool LEDs) and the speaker remembers which station you were last listening to.Sound quality is good, but not amazing. It does a good job at delivering room filling volume with a decent bass for something so slim, but for the money you're getting top notch styling and design rather than sound quality.The Soundbook is expensive, but it's also really well built and offers up good music playback on the go.

I am terribly sad to only give this product 2 stars out of 5, becuase it is a really nice piece of kit. It is very solid, weighty enough so that it feels well made. The bass is really pretty amazing, I love the sound quality and the portability. Works easily, and very nice to have a decent Li Ion battery so that it is rechargeable. But herein lies the issue: I saw one of these at my friend's house, and we had loud music in the garden all day from it. I bought one myself, and the battery lasted well for a few days, but they dramatically lost life and now it is dead every morning I come to use it. I returned it for a replacement, and the same thing happened to the next two that they sent out! In the end, I had to get a refund, as they wouldn't say why the battery was failing so rapidly, and they couldn't seem to fix it. I am heartbroken, I really want to own one, but they just couldn't get me know that would hold its charge for any decent length of time. As such, I am forced to not recommend this product unless they can sort the battery life out.

The sound of the unit is fantastic however I was disappointed with the FM radio as the internal aerial did not pick up a strong radio signal very well in my area. The battery was meant to last 10 hours but mine only lasted about 3 even after following the initial charge needed to gain the full battery. I would have sent it back but i live in Spain and the carriage costs would have been too much. I just keep it plugged in now.

Having used a friend’s Bayan Soundbook recently and having been amazed with the sound quality and the design I ordered an X3 immediately – bigger unit, bigger sound etc. When I opened the box and connected my iphone via Bluetooth in seconds I was not disappointed. This solid unit packs a heavyweight punch and the quality is amazing, way better than other bigger and more expensive units. This is worth every penny and more. You will not be disappointed, I am certainly not!

GOOD, BUT FAR TOO MUCH BASS.WHICH YOU CANT CONTROL

I couldn't recommend the Bayan Audio Soundbook X3 more highly. I spent quite a lot of time researching similar products and this Bayan Soundbook is really impressive and beats the competition in all categories... design, price and sound.Not only does it look and feel fantastic, it's a great price and the sound quality will blow you away. I also love the fact that it instantly connected to my iPhone straight out of the box and the long battery life gives it great staying power.It's like a Porsche 911... beautifully designed and packs an enormous punch!

I was given the smaller Soundbook as a Christmas gift because I wanted to take something on the road with me for work. It's only tiny but the sound is superb for a small piece of kit. Impressed, I decided to invest in the larger Bayan X3 for my apartment.The sound of this beast is truly awesome. Every time I play my tunes I get a grin across my face. The base is deep and powerful with the vocals clear and precise. It makes the hairs stand up on my neck when I play AC/DC - Back in Black. Love it!
