Emustil Gel Natural Eye Drop Emulsion 20 x 0.3ml by Emustil

Not sure why I reacted badly to these drops. I have very severe mgd and was hoping they would help me however as soon as I used them they caused very bad burning pain like acid was being poured in my eyes and they were red. I didn't realise this for a few days and kept using the drops I just thought this was a new phase in my Horrible disease. Or day I clicked and stopped using them and the burning and pain stopped too so had to throw them away. It's a shame. Worth trying to see it it helps you buy just watch out for any irritation.

This product is very effective in providing lubrication for dry eyes and does not sting when applied. My main criticism is that the snap off plastic capsules leave a rough edge and given the way the product has to be administered (instruction to pull back eyelid and apply) , it can easily scratch the eye unless great care is taken. This is the reason for 2 star rating and my reluctance to recommend the product. For safety reasons I prefer the mister type products which are sprayed directly onto closed eyelids.

If you suffer from moderate to severe dry eye & your cornea is suffering this is a lipid based artificial tear, so if you're struggling with MGD this can replace naturally missing lubrication if you have a problem with tear evaporation.

Very easy to use individual application. So far seems to be helping with the blepharitis.
