I love the Tecmojo PDU and it has made a great addition to my home lab! Intend on building out another home lab and will definitely be adding one to that also.

Setting this up saves me the hassle of switching on and off individual pieces of equipment from their power switches. In my case, I use it for music gear, mostly guitar amps and pedalboards. Pedalboard power supplies usually don’t even have switches and guitar amps have switches in all different places. Operating things from one small panel makes my life easier. I opened it up to check it out and the quality of wiring and construction looks solid, particularly for my low current needs.

Perfect addition to the homelab to clean up power distribution

I got this Tecmojo 9-outlet rack mount PDU to clean up power in my rack, and so far it has done what I needed it to do. It gives plenty of outlets, mounts neatly, and looks a lot better than having a regular power strip sitting loose behind the equipment. The individual switches are handy if you want to turn certain devices on or off without unplugging everything. I also like having the overload protection/circuit breaker built in, since racks can end up with a lot of equipment plugged in over time. That said, it’s still important to pay attention to what you’re plugging into it. I would not treat this like it can handle unlimited load just because it has 9 outlets. Network equipment, modems, routers, switches, and similar devices should be fine, but heavier equipment needs to be checked against the rating. One small downside is that depending on the size of your plugs or power bricks, a few outlets may get blocked. That’s pretty normal with rack power strips, but it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars. It’s a useful rack-mount power strip, works like it should, and helps keep things organized, but outlet spacing and total load are worth paying attention to.

This is my 3rd attempt at a rack mounted power switch and finally it's a good solid unit. Skip over the other cheaper ones you find here they are plastic flimsy junk. You want this one!
