Rhodia Heritage Raw Binding Notebook, A5, Square ruling - Black Escher

My favourite notebooks. I've marked it only four stars because it's missing a few features that you get from other brands, like a ribbon marker and something to keep it closed but otherwise it's almost perfect. The smooth, ivory Clairfontaine paper is a pleasure to write on, no bleed through with any of my fountain pens (from f to broad and stub nibs) and the raw binding means it stays flat.Only 4 stars because it's missing a couple of features but they don't stop it from being my favourite type of notebook.

Good rhodia paper, but not enough pages (works good for a single school quarter of labs, but not much more) wish the pages were numbered and that there was a date box on both sides of the page.Fountain pen friendly, but still has that rhodia wierdness where there are occasional weaknesses in the coating and it just feathers monstrously on one tiny spot.

It is one of the best, if not the best notebook I ever tried and I have an extensive collection of top quality ones. Clairefontaine paper is famous and fountain pen friendly, I love the orange lines and I was surprised at how easily and flat it opens

L'ouverture a plate a chaque page est vraiment un plaisir, tous Les cahiers devraient être comme ceux la. La couverture est matte et donc bien moins saturé que sur la photo se qui renforce le coté vintage. Le papier vélin velouté 90g/m² est parfait, 🐓cocorico! Ce qui justifie le prix un peu élevé.

I use this notebook for journaling.The paper is super soft and feels great. It's actually fountain pen friendly, the writing is invisible on the other side of the page. Because there is no spine, the book lays flat open no matter what page you choose, which makes writing very comfortable. I'm definitetly going to buy this Notebook again!
