I have been searching for the perfect “go bag” for my dog because we recently moved to Colorado and suddenly have a lot of hiking and exploring to do. If you have done even minimal searching on Amazon you have seen a lot of options but ultimately I decided on this one: The Rover.First off, I love the material. I love that it’s a cute and timeless pattern rather than just a plain black. It also has pockets inside and outside that are made from black mesh. I find this to be extra convenient because I can see what I’ve thrown where and keep myself organized. The interior compartment is also insulated so throwing cold water or drinks in there is also a good option (whether for you or your furry friend).The bag comes with a divider that has velcro that allows it to be inserted into the center / main compartment and divide the bag evenly down the center. Those sections, once divided, are both the perfect size to hold the zip up containers either collapsed or full.The containers:Collapsible: sturdy material that are easy to collapse and expand. They’re also easy to clean (even just a simple rinse) and the material allows them to dry quickly.Zipper Containers: Great options for various contents. They are well insulated and the walls are very thick — I saw a few online that I felt like probably had very thin walls but these do their job well. They’re also easy to open/close and the handles on them are very sturdy.There are also two handle options — there are two shorter handles that you can use to toss it over your shoulder or a longer removable strap. The longer, removable strap can be lengthened or shortened and also has a pad that slides for your shoulder so you aren’t carrying it around uncomfortably….and, as if that wasn’t enough — you can also use that strap for a leash if you need to.So, for the summary… this is an insanely cute and convenient bag that is constructed of quality material. It has pouches and zippers and pockets and the bonus containers as well as multi-functional handles. The walls are made sturdily and the handles / zippers / etc are all extremely well made and designed. Also, can you really turn down a coordinated red dog bone luggage tag? I think not.Get it now - you won’t regret it the next time you go running out the door for an adventure!

I haven't put this travel bag to the test yet, but from first look and quality, I LOVE IT. I have a service dog and have to travel often for work - via plane, car, and train; many times flying across country. I have specific dietary requirements, so I bring food (usually home cooked) around with me wherever I go...which makes traveling with my dog challenging since I know how to lug her food (she's a 75lb dog), leash, toys, bones, bowls, ALONG with my food and other travel needs. This bag is perfect! It's large enough to store all of my dog's food (love the containers), plus I don't need to worry about bowls for her since they come in here, and there's plenty of storage. I love the fact that it's an insulated cooler -- this makes packing my food within the bag perfect! It's large enough for me to also fit my 14" laptop and 17" portable laptop monitor within the bag - and I love the side pockets for water bottles! The other side compartments are perfect for storing other small items that you wouldn't want mixed in with the food. For ladies - think of this as an oversized purse - a tote bag; for men, think of it like a suitcase. What does this mean? It means that when you travel on airplanes, this bag will count as a PERSONAL ITEM so you still have the ability to bring a carry on item with you as well! It also does fit nicely over the arm bar of rolling bags for easy carrying. And above all, the quality of the material and stitching appears to be VERY well done! It does not look cheap and it seems durable! I'm starting traveling for work next week, so this will soon be put to the test! I will update this review after traveling with it....very excited!

My rover did not come with a tray for the dog bowls that looks anything like the picture- the bowls barely fit on it - there is no extra room- and the picture looks like the tray has edges that come up- the tray I received is completely flat and useless.I have 4 pups and was going to buy additional ones but the bowls are smaller than expected as is the tray to put them onI was hoping the bag was larger too. I am sure this is perfect for smaller pups but my pups are 75-80lbs -not I am not convinced the bag is largeenough to put their harness, leash, toys, mat, treats, and first aid kit in.

Just got back from taking my dog Ozzy on a trip to the Oregon coast and can enthusiastically confirm that The Rover is PERFECT! It was so nice to have containers that perfectly fit enough food for our five day trip, the bowls, and a place to put Ozzy’s leash and harness. The placemat was awesome too — his water always makes the floor dirty, and that contained all of the mess! I am taking him on another trip this weekend and can’t wait to use it again! I showed it to my friend who has two fur babies they take on trips all the time. It’s so fantastic!

The Rover is a great companion for us and our pup whether it's on a picnic or on a road trip. The bag itself is roomy, but also compact enough to be comfortable porting around. There are plenty of compartments and the accessories make this bag even better.I also love that the water bottle pouches on the sides are big enough for a larger bottle or even two smaller bottles! Our pup always gets extra thirsty so this comes in handy :) I haven't kept anything too cold in there yet, but the insulation looks good as well.

This bag is amazing! It has everything you need to take your pup to overnight locations or in my case, to my in-laws. I used to stuff old shopping bags with his stuff or just try to throw everything in his bed and carry everything that way... not anymore!Everything fits nicely! Food, toys, bowls, etc. It's a great all-in-one and the style and design is top-notch. Unisex pattern - which was more appealing to me and my wife than the solid black ones we see on here... those just look like a repurposed camera equipment bags to me.Overall it's just a great thought-out bag for dogs! If you travel with yours or send them away for a few days, I definitely recommend this!
