Great product
I could not help but test these things before putting them in place. Sure enough, a little water results in a loud alarm. Get them dry and the alarm turns off. Simple and effective, giving peace of mind. These little guys (gals?) will watch your back.

Not sure yet.....
I got this product after my basement had a slight flood. So far I have placed thesenext to toilet and in the shower but thank God we have not been alerted to anotheroverflowing. So if I have another will give it another rating but I will be changingbatteries every 2 months.

Batteries not included
These little guys have saved me 3 times. Leaking water heater (located inside my condo), blown hot water line and recently a cold water line. Had I had more of these guys it would have saved my home from flooding recently. A line went on the other side of the house. By the time the water reached my other frog it was too late to save the floors, but I was able to rescue all my personal items and electronics. Had I not had it the damage would have been much worse. I would normally rate this 5 stars. But batteries were not included this time. It is advertised as including batteries for both frogs.

It works!
Delivery and price was as advertised. These little guys are very sensitive and you can set them off just by bridging the contacts with your fingers (or setting one in a puddle of water. The battery door seals up so that if you put them where you might get a LOT of water, they will float and not get ruined, screaming all the while.Did I mention that they're loud?I plan to buy some more for underneath every sink and behind every toilet in the house. Also, under the dishwasher and washing machine. Wish they sold them in a 6 pack!UPDATE: Well, maybe not. After a few weeks, I discover that one of these guys has died and it's too late to exchange it for another. Don't think I'd recommend them after all.UPDATE of UPDATE: Since the last update, one of the frogs that had not died started screaming to alert us to a clogged and leaking (gushing, really) pressure relief valve in a hot water heater. Result was some water to mop up but no damage to house or contents. So far, I've bought (I think) 6 of these and only one failed, so I guess that's OK. I still wish they sold them cheaper in 6 packs...

Mine submerged in water and stopped working. They had worked and prevented disaster.

It took a little over two years to finally pay off!
Simply put, when I left the house that morning, all was quiet. When I returned a few hours later, Leak Frog saved my day! I came home in the middle of the day, opened the front door to hear something screeching. I set the groceries down and went looking for the source of the noise. Leak Frog under the toilet tank in the kids bathroom was screeching away! I shut off the water to the toilet, flushed it and found the puddle about four feet along the wall. The kids who used to use this bathroom are now 40 and 37 years old and have been gone for decades. This bathroom seldom has visitors. I seldom even get to this end of the house. Two plus years ago, I happened to see Leak Frog on Amazon. IF they really work, it sounds like a good idea was my thought. I purchased enough for each toilet and under sink area plus the water heater closet. Leak Frog really worked. No it is not a good idea, Leak Frog is an Excellent idea!!! I guess I should change the batteries while I am thinking about it.

Saved by Leak Frog
These little guys have saved us from major disaster twice already. One time our sump pump switch failed and water started to get on our basement floor. The little frog screeched til we discovered the problem. The 2nd time the drain in our window well failed and rain was coming in our basement window. Again, the screeching alerted us to the problem before any damage was done to the many things, including 2 freezers full of food, in our unfinished basement. I ordered more of these so I can put them by the other 2 window wells and 2 other vulnerable locations in our basement.
