The wire is much longer then shown on the photo, and the controls (volume, play/pause + microphone) are not accessible when plugging original Apple headphones into this adapter. This adapter also costs MORE then the original Apple dongle, which allows you to access ALL of those controlBut that's not the main issue.There's a crackle in my headphones when listening to my voice memos or music on my Shure headphones, ONLY when I use this dongle. My headphones work fine otherwise. The crackle doesn’t seem to be there when I’m in “plane” mode.I've followed the manufacturer's instruction on how to first connect this adapter to the phone. Still, this happens.Also, once I disconnect and re-connect the adapter, or sometimes when I simply pause the playback, the sound takes a while (2-5 seconds, but sometimes much longer) to appear in my headphones. Till that happens, the sound plays out on my speakers, which disturbs both my surroundings and myself.I’m dissapointed enough to be writing this review. I would not recommend this product to someone else.

This product is horrible. It is incompatible with the apple products and if you can finally get to listen to anything, it will allow you to do so for a short while and go dead. I took it off my earphones to see if it were the phones or this connector, the earphones were fine when plugged into another device that did not need the adapter. I have two of these and neither works, go get the real apple connector.

I have iPhone 8. Music cuts out very frequently with this adapter, plays for 1-2 minutes before cutting out. When I initially plugged in adapter, the iPhone gave notification "THIS ACCESSORY IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS IPHONE". Have to unplug and replug in adapter multiple times to get any music. Would not recommend!!

Horrible ! It either works just for a few minutes or does not work at all.When this thing arrived, even the packaging of it says If this product does not work, restart your phone...It is pain in the butt to plug/ unplug. Some times it works some times it doesn't.If your phone is on Speakerphone and you plug this in. NOPE! It does not work.

I followed the package instructions for restarting the iPhone. The adapter allows my Logitech earbuds to listen to music, but when the phone app starts all sound is lost. I need an adapter that allows all functions to work - this aint it.UPDATE: I just received the OEM adapter directly from Apple and it works perfectly. I should have gone to them first!

This item did not work. The material is thicker than the Apple Product (Which is the reason I bought it) but wont connect to my Iphone/Headset. I used a new Apple Headphone and a Set of BOSE ones and nothing. I am going back to buying Original Apple Product.

The adapter works for listening to music perfectly. However, the speaker on the headphones isn’t supported with this adapter. Everything I’m on the phone I need to unplug my headphones or just put my phone close to my mouth since the speaker being used is the iPhone one, not the headphone speaker. I have checked with multiple headphones that work but simply not on the adapter.

While the lightning jack adapter looks similar to what came with my i-Phone the quality is seriously lacking. Almost immediately I noticed a poorer sound quality than I did with the original Apple lightning jack adapter, and within a few weeks started noticing crackling during use and most recently was unable to use my headphones to place a phone call. I tested out my headphones using my wife's original Apple lightning jack adapter and the issues were resolved so this is clearly an issue with the adapter and not my Bose headphones. I would suggest the manufacturer take a hard look at their design and if they can't produce a quality product to discontinue selling this item.
