NEW UPDATED VERSION FOR 2015 This triple DVD features all 112 miles of the Fred Whitton Challenge route filmed on a glorious summers day in 2015. PART 1: Start in Grasmere, through Ambleside and straight up the highest pass in the Lakes, Kirkstone. A fast run down through Patterdale & Glenridding then a gentle run along side Ullswater, climb up to Matterdale End and then the fast run East to Keswick on the A66. South through Borrowdale and in to Rosthwaite. Finally, the epic climb up Honister Pass to finish Part 1. PART 2: Starting at the summit of Honister Pass, carefully down the other side to Buttermere. Over Newlands Hause (don’t look down) to Braithwaite & up Whinlatter Pass. Fast & smooth to Lorton then head South towards Loweswater, Lamplugh and Ennerdale then climb over Cold Fell with spectacular sea views on the descent into Calder Bridge. PART 3: Heading South East to Gosforth, Santon Bridge, Eskdale Green then East to Boot. Saving the best until last the two killer climbs, Hardknott Pass swiftly followed by Wrynose Pass. Then a glorious run down through Little Langdale, Elterwater, Skelwith Bridge, bypassing Ambleside to the finish in Grasmere. Total ascent over 3900 meters, congratulations! This CycleRecon DVD is NTSC Widescreen format on Region 0 DVDs so will play worldwide. It is filmed from a cyclists point of view at Pro-rider speeds on a gyro-stabilised motorcycle filming rig.
