Our newest deck hook, the Extended Reach Deck Hook is specially designed to hang bird feeders outward and off your deck. This hook extends 27 inches and keeps your deck surface clean of spilt bird seed and bird droppings. The extended design also means you never have to worry about your hanging item colliding you re your deck railing. The clamp-on hand knob makes installation easy: simply tighten the hand knob against any deck rail up to 2 inch thick and installation is complete. For added stability, install a wood screw into the deck rail through the hole on the clamp. The hand knob makes it easy to swing the extended hook towards you for easy cleaning and filling of your bird feeder. Attached to 1.5 inch thick board, overall 34.5 inch high, 29.9 inch reach, 1.5 inch wide. 3.3 lbs.

Good buy!
Love it! Heavy duty and the squirrels and chipmunks haven't figured out how to climb it to get to the feeder.

Hummingbirds battle for front seats !
Perfect, even for an uneven steel railing..... but will work even better with wooden decks as it has a vice grip type fastening mechanism.

We love it as much as the hummingbirds do!
This was a great purchase. Before we got this, our hummingbird feeder was hung on a pole in the ground, just off the side of our deck. Our view of the birds was obstructed by the deck railing. The swing-arm mounted on our deck railing easily, and put the hummingbirds directly in our line of sight. It attaches firmly to the deck rail without damaging the deck rail. What's more, repositioning the swing-arm requires only a touch of the hand, which makes much easier the process of cleaning and refilling the feeder. Also, when several people are on the deck, it's easy to reposition the feeder for the birds' sense of security. If we need to move deck chairs closer to the rail, we just swing the feeder out a bit, and the hummingbirds don't "wig out" at our presence. Some handy tips I picked up from the internet: use a paper towel to dab some vegetable oil around the base of the pole, to keep ants away. Their little feet won't stick, and they can't climb it! Also, I put an inside-out loop of clear packing tape on a 6" or 8" length of the pole's main shaft. That also keeps the ants off., and it isn't visible. I change the tape and reapply oil to the base of the pole about every 2 weeks, or as I see ants on the feeder. Really works like a charm!

Quality parts and nice size for off the deck view
Great product and used with the Brome Squirrel buster classic. We originally purchased the 36 inch deck extension bar, but it was too large for our use case. We decided on the 27 inch since it was less of a distraction off the side of the deck. With the above mentioned feeder the last / bottom level of perches can not be seen visually as the deck hand rail blocks the view. This was and okay trade off for us.Our deck has a large drop off to the ground below, so this product us keeping us safe. We don’t lean out over the deck or lean to much on the hand rail. We just walk up, loosen the thumb screw and light twist the extension bar to the right or left until the feeder is even with the rail. So happy with this product! The green color blending in well with a natural surrounding was a plus. The installation was very easy and straight forward. This product works well with our 1.5 inch thick wood hand rail and if needed goes wider. The wood handrail supporting the bar and a full bird feed is a bit a weight. However the nice supports on the clamp have prevented the wood from any depressions. The clamp also does not focus the weight of the very tip of the handrail so the wood has also not warped upward.

Great for the bird feeder
The baby squirrels won’t go out on it, but the mama isn’t deterred. The hook is strong enough to hold her weight. Paired with the Squirrel Buster Birdfeeder, This is great entertainment.Don’t worry though... The squirrels have their own suet feeder and I give her sunflower seeds when she comes to the window.

Stronger than most!
This is an excellent feeder pole! It is MUCH stronger than any others that I have tried! The metal used on the clamp part is thicker than any that I have used therefore it holds better without bending or stressing on the deck railing. Not real cheap but I bought another just because it is so well made!

Using it since 2014 to hang a bird feeder every winter
It works perfect. Hanging bird feeder on it, last 6 winters, it is still as new. Some squirrels acrobats can get to the feeder too, they get the reward.

Love it!
I bought this for my 87 year old mother to enjoy watching birds feeding on her deck. The swivel feature allows the mess to stay away from the deck while making refilling the seed very easy.....Just swivel the feeder over the deck to refill and swivel it back out to watch all the bird activity. Easy to install. She loves it! I might even buy myself one!

Works well!
So far so good. We installed this on our deck for a bird feeder. It appears to be well made and looks like it will last.

Great for use on decks with horizontal railings.
I already had 4 of these hangers for several years. I have them on a deck railing and the deck is a story above the ground. They hold various types of bird feeders I use to feed birds year round. We back up to a creek and wooded area that is full of squirrels and raccoons. I had all sorts of trouble keeping the squirrels and raccoons from destroying the feeders let alone eating all the bird seed, until I purchased and installed these hangers to hold my feeders. The hangers {along with a baffle installed above the feeder below the hanger} make it is almost impossible for the squirrels and raccoons to get at the feeders. Also they are very easy to swing in so the feeder can be removed and refilled with seed. I purchased these two new ones for a neighbor who {also has a deck a story up} and is interested in feeding the birds.

This is a great deck pole. The swinging arm makes it easy to fill hanging feeders, etc.
