READING-LITERATURE First Reader (Yesterday's Classics)

My then 6year old read through the primer and now he is 7 and has graduated to this first reader. We love these stories because they are not babyish for a 7 year old and gives him the feeling like he actually read a real story! These are definitely keepers for the rest of the kids!

My son said.he is eating this high because he likes the stories a lot. He is in Kindergarten and was able to read these stories along with phonics instruction as needed. He started with the Primer.

So many wonderful stories in these books and the repetition has been helpful for my son as he learns to read. The progression in difficulty has been a good fit for us and I appreciate that the stories are not religious. We will continue to use these readers as his skills advance.

These are wonderful readers and are not full of twaddle!

Great next step after the Treadwell Primer for my 7yo beginning reader

My daughter loves these and the stories aren’t as painful to listen to as most readers.

We enjoy these stories, but because it is a reprint, there is at least one page missing entirely from one story... I hope that is all...

My grandmother had this book from her school days and I was so pleased to find all the stories I loved reading as a child. It is a great book if you are looking for something a little different for a young child. Perfect for a child learning how to read.
