Vantrue dashcams are great.
Installed easy, small and compact, works great, app connects fine. One of three we have in the family, already proven in a wreck, insurance has very few questions when you can provide a video.

Nice camera, adhesive not good
The video quality is great. A little difficult to figure out at first but once I did it was all good. The only complaint I have is the adhesive only lasted a few weeks. It ripped, it literally fell off the window and was ripped when we got the first hot day. No pressure on it or anything. Had to use a replacement adhesive to put the camera back up.

Excellent Dashcam After 18 Months of Daily Use
Bought this Vantrue E1 Lite in July 2024 and here we are in January 2026. Still going strong. Still impressed.Knock on wood, I have not needed it for an accident. But I have used it to rewind a few “you had to be there” moments from my daily drive. It just sits there, quiet and steady, a silent sentinel watching the road while I live my life. This is truly a set-it-and-forget-it dashcam. It powers on, records, and does its thing without drama. The app connects easily and pulling footage is quick and painless. Video quality at 1080p is clear and reliable, day or night.Big win for South Florida drivers: it has survived relentless heat, day in and day out, without missing a beat. I did replace the memory card once, which is expected with constant recording and overwriting. No issues beyond that.Installation was simple, and the adhesive mount is rock solid. It has not budged. If you want peace of mind without overthinking it, this is it. Solid performance, dependable recording, and at this price point, it is an easy yes. Protect yourself and protect your investment.

My 4-Day Verdict: What I Loved and What Frustrated Me About This Dashcam
I’ve been using this dashcam for 4 days now, and overall I’m pretty impressed. It has a clean, minimalist design that looks great and doesn’t draw attention while driving — big plus in my opinion. One thing I really liked is the built-in screen, which lets you adjust settings directly without relying on the app. It also supports voice commands, which is super convenient, and the mobile app is very user-friendly. I even used ChatGPT to help configure it and get the most out of the features. The installation was simple. I did it myself in about 20 minutes, which I think is quite reasonable for my first time setting up a dashcam. The box includes everything needed to hide the wiring neatly, so nothing’s hanging or looking messy. Now, a few things that could be improved:🔌 The power cable could be a bit longer. I was able to manage with what’s included, but it was a bit tight to hide the wire cleanly all the way through.⚡️ The camera’s power source uses a cigarette lighter adapter, and in my car (2024 Toyota Corolla), most ports are already USB-C. I made it work, but it would be nice if it included a USB-C option or an adapter.📱 A bit annoying that to download videos/photos, you have to go to your phone’s WiFi settings, manually connect to the dashcam’s WiFi, and then open the app. It would be much better if the app handled that automatically.🌙 As for video quality: during the day it looks pretty good, but at night I can’t clearly read license plates of the cars in front of me. I’m assuming it might be due to a setting I missed, so I’ll take the time to go through the options and see if I can improve that. For now, I’m giving it 3 stars, but if I manage to fix the image quality issue, I’ll definitely come back and update this review.Overall, it’s a solid, good-looking and functional dashcam that I’d recommend.
