It is easy to see why Helen Murin is so good when you watch her act and even age during the series. I loved every bit of it. Such a good show. Too bad it was such a shour series. Would have loved more.

Excellent price for PAL-format DVDs if one owns a Region 2 DVD player
These DVDs will work only in a PAL player designed to play back Region 2 disks.

Need an all region dvd player
Love Helen Mirren shes great. Its an older series but I'm enjoying it now that I got a all region dvd player. Didn't know other region players existed. So heads up to anyone buying this dvd.

A masterpiece, but region codes are tricky.
I was unable to play this in a region free blu-ray player. Apparently region coding is different for blu-ray and DVD sources, so it should be fine in a DVD player and it may or may not work in more modern devices. It’s really a shame it’s not more readily available.

Love getting these shows and watching them. Only thing is, seems like all the ones in this series are kind of sad. Not a feel good show like others I've bought.

Prime Drama
Unforgettable, top level detective dramas. Strong scripts, disturbing crimes ; Helen Mirren is at her brilliant, award winning, best, and the supporting casts can't be faulted. One of the finest TV shows to come out of the UK...ever.

ITV Bluray version
Just another half cocked effort by ITV. If you are hoping for an upgrade from the old DVD you’ll be bitterly disappointed. Just like the effort with Educating Rita. This is the last time I’ll purchase anything from ITV. I would also like to add that it is not in its original aspect ratio of 1:33 either. Poor effort.
