My initial response was disappointment at the very lightweight construction. However after using it, I like it better than the item I replaced. The screening is slightly more spacious allowing me to skim faster while still capturing all of the small residue. There is a slight deviation in the angle from the pole, which I thought was a manufacturing glitch, but actually gives you a slightly better skimming angle.

it is holding up much better than the previous ones I’ve owned
I was very impressed with the pool skimmer. I have gone through a ton of different skimmers in the past but not only is this product cheaper but so far, it is holding up much better than the previous ones I’ve owned. The frame is pretty strong and the net can surprising hold a lot of weight. I'd say that I would definitely repurchase but I don’t think that will be necessary for a long time. I’d give it a thumbs up!

if you want a pole, know what pole to use or how to attach
It's an okay skimmer, but realize a pole does not come with it. That is in description. The problem: description says it attaches to virtually any pole. I have tried attaching to virtually any kind of pole. However, there is a V shaped white plastic piece inside the attachment part. So I'm guessing it's a specific kind of pole, or I just can't figure how to work it. Very possibly the latter, so I am changing my stars level from two to three. :)
