Narrow doors won’t work with this
On fence. Seems to be ok but unsure why the opening by which the bearing slides isn’t longer. This device leaves too large a gap for our door and our door is a standard sized door. I’m ither words when the bearing is “furthest inward,” there’s still too much room between the roller and the door . All they had to do is make the sliding gap longer. Look at the pics. The ad is misleading . Yes it can accommodate doors “up to 3.25” “ but if your door is narrow the device is too small. Why this company doesn’t make the track longer inward is beyond me. Look at other brands on amazon and you’ll see what I mean. A narrow door won’t work with this . Our door is 1.25” thick and the roller allows to much sway .Update.. I dremmeled the track further inward a few millimeters and this device now works. My suggestion would be adding another 1/2” to the sliding track . The ball bearing is really well made and this is the best device I’ve seen . Far better than another amazon device that arrived yesterday. I saw the response from the seller and that is great as well. I will not be able to return this because I’ve modified it with a Dremel updated to five stars. This device works. Just be aware for narrow doors, you may need to modify. I can safely say the other devices don’t have as good or smooth a bearing. I tried another “top recommended “ device.

it works well as far as stopping sway, but i have noticed a big scratch developing on the wall side of the door where the door rubs on the fastening plate. I really need some type of stand off wheel on the inside I guess.

Plastic Wheel Head
I bought 2 of these for a sliding barn door. The bracket itself is heavy duty and powder coated steel. The system does have a ball bearing and does roll nicely, but the actual head that rest against the door is made of plastic. I thought it was metal and did not see anywhere in the listing that it was plastic. All it says in scratch resistant. The other issue I had is the nut is recessed on the bottom of the bracket but when you tighten the wheel, the bolt sticks out farther than the nut and the bottom of the bracket ends up tilting the wheel at a slight angle. I placed this on a concrete surface so others with wood or carpet may not have this issue. It's not much but it does slightly tilt. I am going to have to remove them and grind down the bolts so they lay flat.

Roller Drags
I almost returned this, quite bulky. The roller does not turn as expected, at time slides on the door making a racket. If the roller is adjusted to where it fits snug against the door it still drags in some spots. Door not completely flat may be the cause.... not sure if I would buy this again.

Great look!
Easy to install and adjust. Our door is rough sawed wood, so I stuck the fuzzy side of velcro around the wheel to quiet it down.Works perfectly to keep the door in place.
