Good combination of value and quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Toller Laserdrucker für kleines Geld *by F***. on 20 October 2009* Zu den technischen Features wurde hier schon viel geschrieben, darum möchte ich darauf verzichten und nur meine persönlichen Eindrücke wiedergeben: Mit meinen bisherigen Tintenstrahlern war es immer das selbe. Wochenlang braucht man sie nicht und wenn man dann mal ein Dokument zu drucken hat, ist die Tinte eingetrocknet. Aufwendige Reinigungsarbeiten waren dann immer angesagt. Das sollte sich jetzt ändern. Ein preisgünstiger Laserdrucker sollte her, schwarz-weiß Druck reicht mir dabei und das Thema mit der eingetrockneten Tinte ist dann auch vergessen. Nach einigem Stöbern kam ich dann auf den Samsung ML-1640, ein Kompaktes Gerät zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Die Kundenrezessionen hier bei Amazon haben mir die Entscheidung erleichtert, den Drucker zu bestellen. Hier möchte ich einmal ein Lob an Amazon geben, Freitag abend bestellt, Montag war der Drucker da. Super Service! Ich habe zu Hause 2 Computer, ein älteres Notebook mit Windows XP und und einen neueren Desktop-PC mit Vista. Die Installation des Druckers war bei beiden Systemen innerhalb von 2 min abgeschlossen, Treiber-CD ins Laufwerk, Installation starten, Drucker anstecken und das war's schon. Die Ausdrucke sind gestochen scharf, die Druckqualität ist insgesamt wirklich prima. Für Ausdrucke, die man für sich selbst macht, reicht die geringste Qualität (Tonersparbetrieb) völlig aus, für Briefe, die man verschicken will, sollte man die Qualität "Normal" wählen. Höhere Qualitäten braucht man eigentlich gar nicht, obwohl es diese in den Druckereinstellungen noch gibt. Die Druckgeschwindigkeit ist super, selbst beim ersten Blatt ist innerhalb weniger Sekunden der erste Ausdruck da. Hier wurden einige Minuspunke genannt, die ich kurz kommentieren möchte: - hinten liegender Netz-Ausschalter: ja ok, wen's stört, ich benutze eh eine schaltbare Steckerleiste für das ganze System. - welliges Papier der Ausdrucke: es stimmt, das Papier hat, wenn es den Drucker verlässt, leichte Längswellen (keine Knitterfalten!!!) die wohl vom Papiertransport stammen, das Papier glättet sich aber innerhalb der nächsten 2 min wieder. (ich benutze z.Z. das billigste kopier-und Druckerpapier) - das fehlende USB-Kabel. ok, das ist etwas ärgerlich für alle, die dann extra nochmal eins kaufen müssen. Ich hatte noch eins liegen, also kein Problem. Alles in Allem ein empfehlenswerter Drucker und auch eine echte Alternative zum Tintenstrahler für alle Heimanwender, die sich über eingetrocknete Tinte ärgern wenn der Drucker mal ein paar Wochen unbenutzt steht und die auf Farbdruck keinen Wert legen. Update nach 4 Jahren Nutzungszeit: Viel gibt es nicht zu sagen, der Drucker verrichtet immernoch zuverlässig seinen Dienst, inzwischen mit dem dritten Toner.
