First impressions were brilliant because of the clarity of the face and the speaking clock. However, when I came to show my mother how to unset the alarm, it was complicated as there is only one menu button and you have to go through a long menu to get to the bit you want. I think we got impatient and pressed it too quickly or too often and now it doesn't work (the menu button not the clock) so we can't reset now. In fairness, I haven't got in touch to rectify as I think it was our fault and she would be without her clock - she just has to wake up every day at 7 so a bit disappointing

A bit flimsy - could be a lot better for the price
Basically a cheap alarm clock with an independent spoken time module. Like others I thought that the spoken and analogue clocks would be synchronised but they are not. You set the analogue clock as normal and then have to set the speaking clock through pressing buttons which means that the two clocks are never quite the same. The button on the top is ok, but again a bit plastic. Would have preferred it to be radio controlled and both to be in sync. It went out a couple of times and was a pain to have to reset

Almost a great clock
This could be a nice little clock, unfortunately in my case I had to return it as the speaking function kept losing time. This was a shame as it had a nice clear dial and a good speaking voice. I felt that it was a flaw in the design that the hands and the speech were not linked, as over time they would get out of sync. Also radio control timekeeping would be a big help. If I can get a radio-controlled speaking watch with hands synchronized to the speech then why can't I get all this in a clock?

After initially returning the item because the button on the top was sticking, the replacement has stopped talking entirely after a week of being presented with great fanfare to an elder relative who is, by all intents and purposes blind. Also due to it's general poor construction (The operating button slopes to one side, apparently as do all of them I am told, and the accompanying switch assembly within is of a lacklustre nature).I don't think I will bother attempting a second replacement as the elderly relative ,with her very limited sight, can make out the large figures - in black and white and I do not wish to deprive her of the limited facility that it still provides.

Great clock shame about the small function setting button
This feedback is directed to RNIB. The button to set all the functions on the clock is very small, which given this is intended for someone who is visually impaired is surprising to say the least. Otherwise this is a great product, with a clear face and speaking voice.

Not fit for purpose
This clock is not fit for purpose and I'm surprised the RNIB are happy to put their name to it. I purchased it for my father who was visually impaired. The day after I left it with him I found it with the hands off. In trying to push the button he had knocked it onto the floor and the hands fell off. We were able to prise the front off and reattach them but the same thing happened the next day. The clock so lightweight that it is too easily knocked over as is bound to happen with people with poor sight. If it had been of a more sturdy construction, had sticky feet or even weighted at the bottom it would have been better, however, the whole thing is of very poor quality and I wouldn't recommend it.

Not for kids!
This is frustrating, because it does exactly what it should do - tells the time - but it seems so sensitive to any movement that I have to reset the audio clock at least once a day.I bought it for my 3 yr old who is learning the time, but it is not coping with the amount of times he picks it up to press the button.I've ended up sticking gaffa tape over the button on the back to try to prevent accidentally resetting the time!

Good but faulty
Should be good product BUT speak button keeps sticking and speak time lost. Easyish to set. Voice pretty clear, volume good. Face clear. Good value. Didn't expect radio time and clock sync at the price Just monitor it. Having to return but shall request replacement as should do the job well.
