Best Nail Clipper Ever!
We have owned one of these clippers for some years but couldn't find another one in the shop where we bought it so ordered from Amazon. This one is as good as our other one and now stays in the sponge bag for travelling. These clippers really are in a different league to most smaller ones - they cut cleanly and are very sharp. You can shape your nails well and only need a quick rub round with a glass file to finish your manicure. Happy to recommend these clippers to anyone.

handy nail clipper made from surgical steel...
Stylfile S-Clipper Nail Clipper made by Aventom Ltd is a well-made nail clipper with good quality workmanship which has produced a top quality article.I like the good quality steel of the actual clipper which I find is easy to sterilise after using. The actual clipper is made from surgical steel which is made from surgical steel, this leaves it so easy to keep clean and with the added bonus all germs can be killed using boiling water. I like how I am able to trim my toenails properly with the added advantage it will not cut your toenails too short if used properly according to instruction. One thing I do like about the design of this particular nail clipper is that the designer Tom Pellereau has designed the nail clipper catches those dreaded toenail clippings which in the past would have jumped easily to the other side of the room, only to be found when I stood on them! I would recommend this clipper, especially for toenails as they are designed especially to cut your nails straight across which is recommended as the correct way of cutting toenails.I do like the Stylfile S-Clipper Nail Clipper as a great device for keeping nails especially short and neat which leaves the Stylfile S-Copper Nail Clipper made by Aventom Ltd, designed by one of the winners of Apprentice which is headed by Sir Alan Sugar.

If yours doesn't work just email them - my replacement is perfect
When I first received my S-Clipper I was a little disappointed as the blades didn't seem to work properly, and didn't slice through my nail cleanly.I contacted Tom on Twitter @inventor_tom, and he got back to me immediately and gave me the email for their customer service - [email protected]. They were really helpful and sent me a replacement straight away! My new S-Clipper works exactly how I expected, slicing cleanly through the nail without it pinging away. It really is a clever design. From looking at some of the other reviews here I guess some other people have had a similar problem to me, they must have had a bad batch of clippers. I would recommend emailing Stylfile for a replacement!

Not for everyone pretty poor.
Purchased this item on the release date and instantly noticed it's not for all nail types especially if your nails curl in a bit which makes it almost impossible to use. The left side of the cutter is very tight so forget pushing a bit of nail in to cut on left without right side being able to cut first. Quality steel though but poor design really although you don't get flying bits of nails everywhere but do get the odd few. Future production should be based on all nail types.

Don't use it after initial enthusiasm when I thought it would be curved.
I've had this for several months. On the whole, I don't use it now. Because it works like scissors, it can only cut a nail if you tilt it at a 45 degree angle to the digit. It does avoid nails flying across the room but an actual pair of scissors is more convenient for more purposes. It's also really big. And because it's very sharp and the leverage is so great, it makes one rather nervous of slicing off something that you would rather have kept. In any case, it's not what I really wanted. This is a very conventional pair of clippers in that it pretends your nail is straight, with no curve. It is great for cutting alien nails but for human nails, it's as bad as all other clippers.

Will not give a close cut - also no nail file on this clipper..............
Firstly and most importantly, because this clipper is made from such high quality metal, it is very thick, this means if you like to cut your nails really small, then this product is not for you. I would say it is more of a trimmer than a clipper. Having said this, the clipper will go through anything, so if you have really thick nails and you have trouble using a conventional clipper, then this item will help you. I can imagine this clipper to be very good with false nails and will trim them very nicely. For the price of this item, the finish is very poor, also for a pair of nail clippers, you expect there to be a nail file on it (you even get this with the £1 nail clippers), but there is no file on this clipper.Would I recommend this item, yes for trimming thick nails (or false nails), no for cutting thinner nails or for a tight cut (as you will not be able to achieve this).

Great
So easy to use and great results. I tried it on my elderly mother and the result was very professional. Also found it easy to use on myself and a much better result than other nail clippers. Thank you Styfile.

Very easy to cut too close to the finger
Superb clippers when you learn exactly how far up the nail to start the cut if you know what i mean. It's better to start cutting slightly further up the nail than you normally would or they seem to cut very very close to a point where you wouldn't normally cut to right on the point of the nail meeting skin leaving a sore finger. Once you understand that they are extremely good and cut easily so you just need to take a little more care when cutting. A Major plus is you don't normally get bits of the cut nail shooting out of the clippers.

Best clipper I've ever purchased
This Stylfile nail clipper is an absolute marvel. Instead of being a flat-across blade like most clippers that painfully flatten curved nails as you cut them, it shears along, one point at a time, like scissors. But it also behaves like ordinary clippers with a bottom section that pushes end-of-finger skin out of the way, and does not have sharp points like scissors. It is especially helpful when used to cut someone else's fingernails. You can start on one side and squeeze the handles, but not start cutting, and ask the person if they sense any pain. If not, then I have found it safe to slowly squeeze the handles together to cut. I cut my wife's fingernails, and this is the only clipper I have used with which I can avoid causing her pain.
