TechWareGames2M Metre RJ11 to RJ11 High Speed ADSL BroadBand Cable Made Using Cat 5e Twisted Pair

I swapped out an aged slightly kinked cable supplied with my BT adsl modem-router. The signal was worse with this new cable that the tired old one. This was measured by my broadband supplier and I removed this cable immediately.It does not appear to be made with CAT5e cable. It is flat and thin. It is unlikely to be twisted paid, though to prove this Id need to remove the insulation. The cable is flat and about 1/3 the width of the sample of CAT5e I compared it with.It would be fair to say the connectors seem decent quality, though if the cable between them isnt its a bit worthless.

Cable not made using Cat 5e Twisted Pair. Received two cables - the first was made using ordinary round telephone cable and the second (as a replacement for the first which was described as a 'picking error') was made from flat telephone cable, which is the worst type of cable for this application. Avoid. This seller neither appears not to have cables for sale using Cat 5e and does not know the difference between cable types!

Don't wast your money on it, it is advertised as a cat 5e cable,it is not it is very thin and cheap cable, plugged it into my router and it wouldn't recognise it.

Bought to replace the poor quality cable supplied buy my router manufacturer.Straight swap, no issues and a 2mb speed increase on my sky fibre line to 38mb download.Cable appears well made and would buy another if I ever needed.

Nice lead - allowed me to put my router where I wanted it with no loss of speed
