I have babies that don't like to sleep
Here goes. I have babies that don't like to sleep. And when you're exhausted, you find things online crossing your fingers "this" will help. I have spent a LOT of money trying things to make this sleep thing better for my latest baby. I found this lounger & read a lot of reviews about the Doc-A-Tot.... I opted for this one because it seemed comparable with a better price tag (still expensive, but better than the alternative). The reason I purchased this is because my little one grew out of her sleep suit (that was seriously awesome). This lounger is nothing magical, BUT1. It's comfortable2. It's big (I have a 26-pound 9-month-old). I needed something large. It takes up most of the space in the crib.3. It's well-made4. The cushioned sides are niceI think it's the cushion around the item that makes this good for a baby. It's like he/she is snuggled up to something, not just flat on a mattress with arms flailing if they wake up momentarily in the night. Although my little one still tends to wake up once per night, the wake-ups were much more often (2-4 times per night) before this product arrived.I have not had to remove the cover to wash yet. Another reviewer indicated that it was hard to get the cover back on after washing. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there. It's been more than a week of using the product & I'm satisfied with my purchase.Update 04/24/19:Baby is 18 months old now. Although she sleeps fine in her crib without the lounger, I still use it for other things.I drape a towel on it and use it as a floor changing station. She's getting a bit long for her changing table so I use the lounger instead.I also bring the lounger with me when we travel to see family during the day. She naps on it. When we visit others, they don't have a crib or play yard for her to sleep. I won't put her in a bed (she'd roll out). So this is a great option. It's comfortable for a nap & easy to travel with. It's big, but fits fine in the back of my small SUV.Update 01/10/2020:Still using this lounger. On weekends at home, this is what she naps on. At daycare, she naps on a mat on the floor. So when it's time for naps when she's not at daycare, she sleeps great on this. She sleeps in her crib at night, of course.I have washed the cover & forgot to mention that In my earlier update last year. I had zero problems taking this apart and putting back together again. It all zips & was not a struggle for me.I'm very pleased with the amount of use I've gotten out of this piece. So many baby items are used for such a short time. This has been a great transitional piece for my little one.

Very similar to dockatot
The differences between this and a Dockatot:Material- the base pad baby lays on is made of memory foam-like material. Dockatot has more of a firmer, but more breathable material in my opinion. The base pad lays inside the tube, whereas the Dockatot sits below. Baby doesn’t have as much of a bumper guard with this.Cover on this is more soft than aDockatot.Otherwise very alike. Rating based on where base pad is, wish it was built in below the tube part so there was more of a barrier for baby.

great size & much more reasonable price
My son outgrew his DockATot & did not want to pay 300$ for the grand. This is very comparable. Cute pattern. Soft fabric, great size & much more reasonable price! Very happy with our purchase

Great for big babies & as a co-sleeper!
Overall this is a great product! We were looking for an alternative to our cosleeping bed as our son outgrew the one we were using very quickly at 6 wks he is 23 in long and 12 pounds. We wanted something that made us feel safe to have him in our bed and that he could grow into (he has about a foot of space if he is completely stretched out).We decided to test out this bed and our baby absolutely loves it! He use to want out of his bed immediately when he was awake because he hates anything that touches his feet. This lounger eliminated this problem and he has no problem relaxing in there. When going to sleep he actually prefers to laying in the lounger and eating his bottle vs being held.It is made very well and the sleeping area has a firm padding. There is a little gap between the sides and the mattress which we currently aren't concerned about as he cannot roll over. We will monitor him once he starts to roll over to see if there are any issues. This lounger is a lot wider than I expected. We have a king bed so when we put it in the middle it leaves about a twin size bed amount on each side. After researching many different products I am super happy that we went with this lounger. The quality of the product is certainly worth the money. I never tested the dock a tot grand but I'm sure this is the more pocket friendly alternative.

One of the best baby purchases I’ve made.
I’ve had this for over a year. I bought Fairytale blue but recently got a back up cover in Fairytale pink from Northwell on Etsy, both are pretty and easy to change after you do it once (learning experience). This is very similar to a Dock A Tot. We would use this in the living room etc for the baby to lay on. I didn’t put it in her crib until after she was 12 months old. She really does love it. It’s high quality and I’d recommend it. Don’t waste the extra money on Dock a tot this is just as nice.

Not the best quality....
UPDATE: The entire seam where the zipper connects to the fabric has now completely ripped. Although the company reached out to us to try and rectify the situation by offering a gift card in exchange for a 5 star customer service review, I have to stick to my guns and give the product itself a 1 Star and will be returning it for a full refund. Our son hasn’t slept on this yet, we use it to help him practice sitting up on his own in case he falls backwards but after about a month of use I noticed the seam where the zipper is is ripping. I haven’t even taken the cover off to wash it yet and I know when I do it’s going to rip even more if I don’t sew it first . I think a product as expensive as this shouldn’t have any issues especially after only one month of use by a 6 month old baby.

BUY IT!!!!
I can't stress enough how wonderful this product is! I bought this for my 1 month old (yes, I know it says toddlers) BUT my baby is growing longer by the second and this gives him room to grow. I'd suggest going with the bigger product that way baby grows into it.Another thing, this will take up lots of room on your bed, we have a king sized bed so it worked out for us. I feel so much better sleeping at night knowing he's sleeping next to us and we won't be rolling over him in our sleep. We also use the Owlet monitor.Buy this product! The first night I was able to sleep 7 hours! Baby still loves it even after one month.
