Does this support optiplex computers? will i be able to use an arm mount and add the optiplex inside this mount behind the monitor?

This is designed to hold a “mini” pc. The computer I have in it is an HP mini. It is about 8”x8”x2”. It fits perfectly. I am not sure it would hold a larger PC. Keep in mind you are hanging it on the back of a monitor. Also it had a strap to hang just the bracket to an arm. Again keep in mind the weight. The mini pc probably weighs a little over a pound.

What is the metal thickness in millimeters ?

Somewhere between 2-3mm thick. Pretty heavy and holds monitor comfortably.

think mine came w/ incorrect hardware? the m4x12 screws don't go through the circular threaded things that secure it to the stand vesa plate. v wobbly

Some monitors dont meet vesa specs. I've seen a few monitors that were not even tapped for screws (sounds like yours). LG, HP, and Acer monitors mated perfectly.

Not quite suitable if your monitor has a recessed VESA mount

Try using this with a Lenovo Y series 27” monitor. The monitor has a recessed VESA mount which my monitor arm fits nicely but the plate on this mount is too big to fit into the recessed area of the monitor. Not the product’s fault but I felt some caution could have been given.
