Review: Great study Bible! - I bought the Dake Annotated Reference Bible-KJV-Large Print with Jesus words in red. Well the bad things first: It's huge! It's heavy, it smells very much of leather (but you kind of get used to it) the pages are very thin, so I have wrinkled two pages, when I have looked through the Bible (you have to be very careful looking through this book - it's almost 2.500 ultra-thin pages!) It's so huge and full of information that it is sometimes exhausting to study so I sometime feel I have to read far less advanced Bibles (like the New Believers Bible!) Now the good stuff: You really feel you have a good study Bible. I have looked at other study Bibles but feel real satisfied with the Dake. It's easy to read along the chapters and connect the information Dake presents - aaaaaaalot of information. Not only does he have explanation of Hebrew and Greek words, background information of historic and cultural data, idioms and verse-reference, Dake also collect all data in the Bible and give you big charts over miracles, promises, commandments, names and much much much much more. I can find myself reading the Dake Bible for more then 20 minutes just studying a few verses! Now a good thing that some may think is a bad thing: Dake has some really interesting ideas - all of his ideas are interesting and powerful. I like his ideas but other people I have read about don't like them! What can I say! The entire Dake Bible constantly preaches his ideas and you cannot run from it. I like the idea that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are three separate unique beings with a own body, soul and spirit. There is evidence of this in the Bible but it has been witnessed! The book "Heaven is for real" (by Todd Burpo) talks about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit being three different person of one God and still exist at three different locations in heaven. God is kind of huge to grasp and Dake tries to describe, I belive truthfully, what he have observed in the Bible. Dake also claims that in Genesis chapter 1, between verses 1 and 2 there was another world that was destroyed. Perhaps this is true! Would God really create a world that was "without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep"?? The Bible say that there is no darkness in God and therefor God cannot create the darkness.... And there are a lot of these ideas but Dake is always anxious to explain what he bases his ideas on. Another great thing with Dake is that he has an enormous index in the end helping you find all things you are looking for. For example I was looking for the Holy Trinity. And Dake had a lot of information on this, clearly explaining why there is a Holy Trinity. Dake always ends a book with information about the content and charts and much more. You can find tons of easy-to-read information here. He for example commented the creation of the world in Genesis by showing why the evolutionists are wrong and why the creationists are right. Weary interesting! You find aaaaaaalot of information here and you can always check the Bible yourself if you question Dakes ideas because he liiiikes giving references - you will drown in references! Almost last but not least: In the beginning I loved this Bible, then I come to dislike it when Dake did not think like me, then I come to love it again because I understood that Dake really knows what he is talking about. Don't let your ego stop you from reading this Bible. Last but not least: Some have said how there Dake Bible was badly printed and so on. The version I got was digitally printed with clear strong ink. There are absolutely no problems reading it. No pages was wrinkled when I got it and no ink had smudged out on the pages. The text is large and easy to read - I can read it without my glasses!
Review: Great Bible - This Bible is amazing, well packaged and delivered on time. I ordered for this yesterday and got delivered today. I actually made an attempt to cancel the order as I made a mistake of purchasing the KJV instead of NKJV. After failed cancelation, I researched the difference and realize it exactly what I wanted as I love poetic wordings like thee, thy, thine. I haven't read it, but I'm sure I will enjoy it. Thanks.

The large print format with less columns and better laid out is much easier to read. The study notes are some of the best you can get. This is an old Bible that has stood the pace of time and one of the best you can read and study
