The traditional dreamcatcher was intended to protect the sleeping individual from negative dreams, while letting positive dreams through. The positive dreams would slip through the hole in the center of the dream catcher, and glide down the feathers to the sleeping person below. The negative dreams would get caught up in the web, and expire when the first rays of the sun struck them. My take on the magical dreamcatcher pictured is turquoise, green, lemon and blue in theme, built on 7" diameter hoop with the 'web' hand woven with addition button detailing. The dream distributers are pompom and buttons mounted onto crocheted cords in contrasting white. The pompom dreamcatcher is 21" in length from the top of the loop to the bottom of pompom. Perfect for inducing a good nights sleep 😴
