Q: how do you get them to seal? i cannot get them to close, i try to line it all up correctly but they will not close.

I put a little water on the 'zipper' on both sides. Then press it closed with my wet fingers sliding on the bag. Works like a charm!

Q: Can you microwave these?

Tried it, nope!! Deformed and melted a bit. So this is not a pure silicone bag with a plastic closure, because you can bake in pure silicone... bummer

I can't see your whole question, but I would never recommend these bags simply because they are very difficult to even kerp closed. I recommend that you find a bag about which you don't have any concerns. We've donated all ours to thrift stores.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I have you used these for a long time and I just bought a current set for my daughter. I don't really know why they're cracking on you. It's never a good idea to microwave in plastic so perhaps if you've microwaved in it and then used it and put it in the freezer or refrigerator it could be the reason why they're cracking. This is just the guess. Good luck
