Simple, effective and decent quality but get better fuses.
Seems a well put together piece of equipment. Straightforward to use but the fuses aren't best quality. It's funny as they seem completely opposite. The piggyback is very good quality but fuses need to be better.

Used in New Ford Focus
I bought this to fit a hard wire for a dash cam in my new car, comes with all the bits required to get a live feed from car fuse board.I had to cut the plug end off, and put a straight crimp to my live cable going to the dashcam, works perfect with my crimpped connect.Haven't had an issue with it what so ever, highly recommend at the fantastic price.

Good product
I bought this item as i wanted to hardwire my new dashcam in my car. The piggyback fuse holder and cable seems to be good quality and fits my car well. It also comes with a ring terminal which came in handy as I needed it for this install to connect the dashcam power to ground. I tried using the fuse puller but struggled to remove any fuses from the fusebox. I ended up using another type to grab the fuses which were firmly seated. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and have now got a working dashcam install.

Superb and simple bit of kit but read the descruption csrefully!
Well worth having in your tool box. I think these things are great. They are so easy and tidy to use. Just be careful when ordering though. I didn't read all of the description and discovered that they are actually three different sizes e.g. different voltages for use on say motorcycles, cars and large commercial vehicles. I wanted three the same for my car but as it happens I will he able ro use the others on other projects. Will buy again.

Brilliant!
Perfect, did the job! Needed to hard wire my dash camera and Road Angel into my Lexus IS300h. These just make life so simple, find a circuit that is ignition on and is nothing to do with the ECU, pull the existing fuse out (I would suggest finding a circuit that is of similar fuse rating to that your are taping into), place that fuse you have taken out in the lower of the 2 fuse holders in the unit (the one that doesn't have the cable coming out underneath it). Place the correct fuse for the application in the other slot (the one with the wire coming out) and then push the unit back into the fuse box, voila you are done. The only thing to note is that you wont be able to put the cover of the fuse box back on so put it somewhere safe as they tend to have the map of the fuse box on them! Oh and remember to earth anything you are plugging in, I earthed it first so you wont blow anything...Hope this helps?

Simple way to take power from the modern type of auto fuse box
A short lead attached to the take off. Both fuses were very hard to insert but at least this meant they were secure. The kit comes with 5,7.5,10,15 and 20 A fuses so should be easy to find the correct one.I bought this kit to put a nextbase dashcam in a new car. The next base came with a plug but this came with a crimp connector. Easy either crimp a bare wire or replace the crimp with a socket. I did not need the sleeve or the other connector but they will be useful in the future. The fuses are incredibly difficult to remove once inserted.Wound use again

I’ll echo what a previous reviewer has said. These ...
I’ll echo what a previous reviewer has said. These holders will not fit in Ford fuse boxes unless the black plastic moulding is trimmed down. Allowing the metal contacts to reach the sockets. Works well after it’s been modified.

A lot better than nothing, does the job, but a pain to use.
Four low-profile piggyback fuse tap add-ons. They do the job, but considerable force is required to insert or remove the fuses, and the puller tool does not grip an inserted fuse.I ended up initially levering out fuses with a small screwdriver just so that the puller could get a grip. The kit of bits including some earth tags, bullet connector tips, heat-shrink sleeving, and spare fuses is useful and should cover most permutations of needs, although the crimp bullets assume one has the correct tool.
