although these were on the large size, they are a lovely warm sock which is necessary for my father to wear as the chemotherapy caused his circulation to be poor. they have been washed in warm water and a very little shrinkage has occured, but he loves them for their warmth. i think the continental sizing may not quite match the english sizing.the packaging was good, the delivery was well within dates and the quality really is excellent.

Beautifully warm socks that do not itch and can be washed at 40 degrees in the washing machine. Ideal for cold weather.

Socks arrived promptly as described. Hopefully no more cold feet! Great colour and fairly thick. Good quality but haven't washed them yet!

I had been expecting to write a glowing review of these socks. They are warm, and particularly comfortable. But.......after their first wash, I fancied they had shrunk somewhat but stretched them on and thought nothing more of it. After the second wash, they came out ridiculously small (size 3 probably) and so are unusable by an adult. I should make the point that I have many years experience of dealing with 100% wool items - including socks. I seek them out in fact. Use of a 'gentle' machine wash has never caused shrinkage, even when the product has carried a warning about machine wash. This product did not even carry a warning, and so it is especially unacceptable that this dramatic shrinkage has occurred.
