Superled MR16 27 SMD 5.5 Watt Warm, Pack of 10 [Energy Class A]

They are adequate but ;less bright substitutes for the over-bright lights (6x 50 w halogen) in my kitchen. and the wide angle is better for eliminating the odd darker corner. They are a slightly odd colour as another reviewer noted. It is definitely on the pink/lilac side. I have a different one from Ikea in another room and that is a better colour. I am trying a different manufacturer's 9 w LED's with Cree components to see if they are a better colour.I didn't have any problems with the transformers, though I suppose the slightly odd colour could be due to a voltage variation caused by using LEDs with a transformer intended for halogen, though the transformer ( by aurora) is supposed to be OK with either bulb type.

I tried these after being disappointed with some 4w LEDs. These are definitely better, but still not bright enough to replace 50w halogen bulbs.These are rated at 460 lumens. the 4w LEDs were rated at 310 lumens. 50w halogens are 680 lumens.They do have a wide beam angle. They look to be well made. If anything the colour is too warm for my taste. The first 5 I tried all worked. I just wish they were brighter.

Purchased these LEDs to replace 9 x 50w halogen lamps in our kitchen. We rarely used them due to the running costs of the halogens and also the heat they gave off in use!!Now we have the LEDs we use the main lights all the time. Good brightness from these lamps but be aware that the light seems to be a different colour to the halogens. Our kitchen has a very dark grey floor with black granite tops and the cabs are high gloss white. These lamps almost have a slight pink tinge to them? it may be due to the lack of colour in our kitchen that makes them feel this way??We like the light they give off, so don't be put off by this.Also, I ordered GU10's by mistake from sourcing4U, but they refunded and replaced with the MR16 with no quibbles and the replacements arrived within 2 days!! Great service, would recommend the lamps and Sourcing4U.

I really like these. I've got a lot of LED lights round the house and these are amongst the best. One thing to make clear is that when you swap your halogens for these, you will notice a difference in the quality of light in terms of colour and beam focus. That said, I got used to it quickly and I am perfectly happy with them. The colour is warm, it has a slightly yellowy tinge and perhaps even pinkish. The beam really isn't directional so there is no point trying to illuminate precise spots like you can with halogens. Brightness wise, I'd say about 35 to 40W equivalent. I have 9 of these running in my kitchen and it is lovely and bright - all for 50W power consumption!Be sure to use an appropriate LED driver with these. They will blow in days or weeks if you use the standard halogen 12V transormer.Overall, very satisfied.

I ordered these as 50w halogen replacements for living room and bathroom. Almost every claim on this site about the lightbulbs is incorrect:1. Warm white light - incorrect. The light is more like a violet one, definitely not warm white2. Replacements for 50W halogens - no way. These can replace 35W maybe. It is probably caused by the wrong type of light it produces.Fortunately I'm able to use these in areas where I don't need so much light but if you want to use them as 50W replacements, look somewhere else.

They were OK when I installed them , but when it got dark they were a bit "yellow". oK if you like that

Bought a pack of ten these LED spot lights last month. Had great expectations after reading the merchant's advertised 50,000 hour lifetime. Well, one of the bulbs failed yesterday after what I estimate to be perhaps 5 hours running time. Still, another nine to go eh?
