Product description This USB-Yagi is 2.4GHz long range WiFi antenna designed to pull in WiFi signal from a hotspot. Most public hotpots in the streets and restaurants and home routers running 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4) and the latest 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) have excellent compatibility with this antenna. However, a few 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) routers are set to 5.8GHz by factory default – in such a case simply enable the 2.4GHz band on the router and you’ll be fine. A buyer said he lived in a 3rd floor studio apartment in Seattle. He was astonished at how well this works. Before he had barely adequate reception with another brand long range antenna, coupled with a homemade dish to help concentrate the signals. Although he wasn’t technically minded, this took him 5 minutes to set up, and reception doubled immediately prior to any adjustments. Signal strength went from one weak one (that sometimes failed) to several strong signals to choose from. “Yes! This is the real deal, and this is the first review I've ever written because the product does (for me) what's advertised. Excellent.” he added. The USB-Yagi antenna setup is easy because it sits on a removable camera tripod that comes with the kit. It is plug and play with Windows 10, over which you could send the Internet picked up by this antenna to the computer’s Ethernet port to a smart TV or the built-in WiFi card as a repeater to an iphone. All these Windows 10 setup procedures comes free along with the antenna as well. Legal Disclaimer Access to a WiFi network must not be carried out without the consent of the owner.

Extremely impressive range and power
This will easily punch through walls and work at a distance at decent speeds! Based on testing, most of this seems to be due to the high power (unmarked?) wifi card. At the moment they seem to be using a Ralink 3070 which is only capable of 802.11b/g/n and has problems with Wifi 6 and recent standards 802.11ac/ax. The most recent drivers are dated 2015 and they felt outdated even back then. Also I think the strong signal is mostly due to the amp hidden in the card and the antenna only contributes slightly on top of that.I tried the antenna with different ALFA cards and a newer FIDECO dongle and they both gave poor signal strength, so this only works at its best with the big unmarked Ralink card it comes with.Nevertheless, I have two of these now and they have served me well for 8 years connecting to older routers. I really hope they release this with an updated card that can support 802.11ac/ax at some point.

Fantastic piece of kit.
This is the second one of these units that I've bought. Unfortunately, I left the first one at a holiday park, it lasted me for 5 years, and after trying another manufacturers aerial that was nowhere near as good, I came back to this one (although it was a lot cheaper at £20 five years ago!)Fantastic little piece of kit. Will pick up WiFi signals from a long distance away. It is directional, so you have to point it in the general direction that you want to pick up a signal from, but that's easy to do with the tripod that you get with it.Easy to use, drivers were quick and easy to install and comes with a long cable. This unit is NOT waterproof though, so don't place it outside.I have heard of people getting around this by adding heat shrink to the USB on the aerial itself or wrapping it tightly in cling film. Personally, I've never needed to do this, as I can usually pick up external signals from inside a building without the need to place it outside.

Review for Pen-Testing
Ok, so a review about pen-testing using this antenna :1. Works out of the box with kali linux2. Supports Monitor mode and Packet Injection3. It has a great range and speed4. The adapter is very easy to change5. The quality of the antenna is great but the tripod is cheap and cant hold it really well ( it is made out of plastic and the antenna outweights it)Overall the antenna is awesome, does a great job, you can forget about the tripod as you can replace it with something better.
