In 1983, Peter Ludwig, a tango addict for over thirty years now, founded the legendary ensemble 'Tango Mortale'. As a composer and arranger, Peter Ludwig interprets the tango very much in his own style. His tangos are not of the exclusively gloomy, depressive and darkly emotional type we know from Argentina. His instrumental arrangements are characterised by his inspired imaginative power, which with each piece of music takes us on excursions into realms of fantasy and tells us stories of life, love and misfortune.

Gorgeous tango
Those of you who have read my review of Tango a Trois's second album Amour Fou will, I hope, excuse some repetition here. From my pen name I would be drawn to anything tango, but again I was delighted when I bought and listened for the first time to this album. Peter Ludwig (piano) leads this classical trio of Arben Spahiu (violin) and Peter Wopke (cello)in an enticing and captivating selection of original music composed by Ludwig. Whilst one can dance to some tracks, this is music to listen to and loose oneself in. This album is a joy: expression, skill, feeling and originality. For tango lovers, it is a must-have!

美しいタンゴ(愛聴盤)
