Crystal Shells Empower Airplane Seat Socket Adapter with Duo Function Airplane Plug and Car Charger Extension Cord 20-Inch Without USB Charger (Empower)

Purchased before a large trip. Saw the work "airplane seat" and immediately thought it would be useful. Should have checked ahead, but it turned out that the airline I was flying had USB ports in each seat. Would have worked like a dream on older planes. The most useful part was the car charger that plugged into the lighter socket, as not all cars are USB ready. I'm sure the car charger could have been less expensive elsewhere, but such is life. Recommend, but only if you're going to flying in an older style plane!

I got this because of a business trip and I read something about charge port on the airplane, the empower cord, so I thought I would give it a try. The cord work well, does what it should. I also bought the 3 port charger so I could charge my iPad and iPhone together. So happy I bought it otherwise my devices would definitely be out of battery.

This plug is very unique in that all the different plugs are contained in the same unit, and you just swing or pop-out the one you need. Plus, the female end that you plug your device into, will accept any type of plug. Very well designed.

Much cheaper design than others I have bought. In fact, of the three I purchased, one was DOA (had an open ground to the socket).

EmPower outlet isn't very popular these days. However, for the price... it's good to have in case you flight with iPhone to another continents and the plane only have EmPower instead of 110v AC outlet.

I'm giving this kit 5 stars simply for the build quality and clear instructions. I have no way of testing it until I need it on a plane.

Haven't flown since my purchase, but I was attracted by it's versatility.

Used it on a flight to Tucson. It worked great and gave me a little more added length to my power cord.
